Recently, a doctor had been sentenced to life imprisonment for performing mercy killing towards a laborer who suffered from quadriplegia or severe paralysis due to an accident. Another example is a mother who injected heroin on his son to end his suffering, he had a brain damage from an accident as well and his mother thought that he was in pain. She said that she did it out of love and all members of her family supported her. The doctors told her that the only way to end her son's life is to stop feeding him but she refused because she couldn't bare to know that her son will also suffer from starvation. So she did the desperate choice and search a way to end her son's life in the internet. She found out that heroin overdose will do the job. So she went to a drug dealer sneak into the hospital, since she was ban for attempting to kill him the first time, and then injected the drug on him.. Told him that she love him so much and that everything will be fine. According to the report, she is a good person and it seems like everybody likes her and that what happened was really sad and heart breaking. But she still went to prison.

Frankly, if you're being kept alive by a machine, you're just alive, but you're not living. You're just lying on a bed doing nothing. If I somehow got myself into that situation, I'll approve on mercy killing. It can still be considered killing a life if you kill someone on a vegetative state, but my point is the patient is just wasting money and time lying down there without doing anything.

Hi, You have a point there, especially when someone is only depending his life on the apparatus attached to him/her. But I have to say, I don't know if I could let a love one of mine to commit the sin of killing and break the law, go through the pain and suffer in prison like the mother of the teenager did.
