I guess they finally hired a bylaw officer here, as we have never seen one, nor hear anyone getting tckets. It states you must be off township property after November - April. I was parked on my lawn half way in the ditch. We have so many cars that we dont have enough spots so my sister and I get the front lawn. I got this notice (I attached a picture), luckily it was a notice or else I would of been ripping someones head off as it's 100$ fine. I technically wasnt on the township property we made sure, and went out measured it every year. I will be calling to ask them to clarrify this for me. My neighbour parks at the end of the road all the time, not a notice. So this is why I am fuming right now. If they keep this up I'll move out of this township. We pay our taxes and water bill to them. Our roads arnt plowed until noon most days, we end up having severe damage to our cars from the snow (yes the snow gets that high and freezes), also our water is undrinkable making us sick yet we are forced to keep paying it. Even my Dad was fuming over this morning, I think he said he would call and ask since it's his house.

But you have been planning to move anyways. Given how much stress you deal with from your family, I was guessing you would be moving out of that township anyways. Yes, this is a pain. However, you should soon be moving out into your own place, and you shouldn't have to deal with this again. As for why you would get a warning, the township likely claims a "right of way" so many feet onto the property to give clearance for snow plowing, tree limb removal, etc.

It definitely sounds like moving to a different town would be in your best interests. There is simply too much drama for you where you're at.

I have been looking at places further north, so I dont bump into anyone. I ignore them all and they simple keep throwing the drama around.

I should take a picture of the front lawn, but we got them to show us where this line is between our properpty and theres. We werenèt over it, I think itès just getting back at me. This guy I was interested in (Im going to say a year or more ago), and told him. I found out right after he just started dating this other girl, so I ignored him. He was trying to get with me for months, even to this day he will drive by and stare at me, and almost drive in the ditch, he will wave and try to get my attention. Yet, he is telling everyone I am so creepy stalking wanting him when he is so in love with his girlfriend. Yet, he is the one creepishly stalking me, he will show up my other job and pretend like he is ignoring me or drive by my work things like that. He just happens to work for the town, and this is one of his little tricks under his belt.

Oh yeah, you should. Some nosy people just have too much time of their own, and reporting this and that of other people's business. I would definitely won't tolerate those people at all. I once got a note from my neighbor sticking up to my nose. Then I wrote a note back and stick it to his car. Make it even considerably done. So, if you are right, do not worry about it, and go for it.

I am assuming it was the by law officer who put it on my car. But also there was this guy who worked fr the town, I was interested in him, and he was trying to show interest and get with me. Meanwhile, he started dating this other girl, and now his stupid useless girlfriend is running around saying I am trying to steal her boyfriend (clearly her boyfriend isnt trying to get with other girls nope its all the other girls), i ignore this guy and he goes around saying I am stalking him, and I am trying to get with him while he is so madly in love with his girlfriend.

Hmmm.. Where are you supposed to park then? If it's a very rural place, then I guess there aren't alot of cars in that area and it would be okay to park in the front lawn then. Well, I guess they're just asking for trouble then.

We live in a smaller rural area so bylaw doesnt do much (we didnt even have one for years). But the fees are jacked up because of this. But $100.00 is a little ridiculous if you ask me. My Dad called, and they are saying we canèt park there, and they could even give us a ticket if we park on our front lawn. So right now we are bumper to bumper of cars in the driveway and moved our snow tires which were stored in the shed on to the front lawn. This certainly wont be happening long we are always constantly going here or there, my Dad is phoning tomorrow to give them a piece of their mind.

If its half-way in the ditch, it may be that the ditch is their property? Just guessing. Where I used to live, my landlord got told that he couldn't have all the cars in his yard. He collected cars to fix up and sell. They prolly didn't have any tags on them. I don't know. He owned his property. I think the government can do whatever it wants to do. If you aren't in violation, they were trying to tell you that you are, it seems to me.

They didnt give me a ticket, just a warning slip. We have no place to park the cars, and it's clear. I could see if we had junk sitting around, and cars constantly sitting all over the place not moving. But they are constantly moving sometimes half of the time not being there. They own so much into the ditch, we measured it and I was on our property. If I see him I'll give him a piece of my mind.

He is going to call them and ask them to clarify. He was very ticked off this morning, I could care a less since I was going for a colonoscopy and nothing could make my day worse .

That really stinks that there was a notice placed on your car. I know that here the reason that we would get a notice like that is because of the fact that you are actually parked in the grass as opposed to being parked on the road. It is legal to park on the road but you aren't supposed to be parked with any part of your car on the grass that is between the road and the sidewalk because that is considered to be public property as a result of an easement that was made several years ago.

Hi friend, as you mentioned your car is damaged with the snow. Did you have the ability to claim insurance for this? good to know that you are not in need to pay any fine as well as paid all your bills.
