Well, in my neighborhood, people don't really take afternoon naps, except of course for young kids I guess. We have motorbikes but so far we never had any complaints. But then we make sure that we don't rev them up too loud nor make a big noise in the wee hours of the morning or even late at night when a lot of people are obviously sleeping. If we are bothering someone, we would of course take into serious consideration, all they have to do is talk nicely to us and I'm sure we can fix the issue.

Actually, motorcyles are not that noisy. These people are just doing something to make it sound like that. They are adding something on it. For the reason, well maybe they they just want to show off.

If I have a motorbike, I'll just use it whenever necessary and not just to show-off especially during afternoon nap times. Also, as much as possible, I think I'd like to install an equipment on my motorbike to lessen the noise it creates cause I don't like riding a vehicle that would be catching so much attention. It's irritating. Hope you could get a good talk with that motorcyclist so that your problems can be smoothly settled.
