About a month ago my daughters phone was dead I just bought it last Dec. luckily it is under warranty period. It is only prepaid that's why it is not under plan with automatic warranty I still have to prove them with the receipts I kept. I brought it to the nearest service center but they told us we will just wait from 2 weeks up to 1 month. They called a while ago telling me that I can get the phone and it is already fix. I'm glad that it was fixed without any cost. Also last Wednesday the frame of my reading glass broke, I went to the optical shop where I bought it and still its under the warranty period I was lucky again to replace it with new same frame I will just wait for they will order it to their supplier. How about you friends did you try to used the warranty card that you bought?

Oh, definitely, especially with appliances or other expensive things. I even pay an additional cost just to have the warranty extended. Some products or stores have this extended warranty thing. I've used some of those warranties, and there were two instances where I was so elated since there was less than a week before the warranty expires and the items I had conked out. In one of those instances, they replaced the item with a totally new one.

It was actually the car battery. The warranty is up to 18 months. If a problem occurs but not to improper usage, they'll replace the battery. I saved almost 6,000 Php (around $150) because I kept the warranty card

wow that's a good save . Yes we should utilize the available opportunity and ts our right. Sometimes people throw their warranty cards and realize it only when some problem occurs.

Yes, I just had my phone fixed last week. Its trackpad had a problem. It malfunctioned a month or two after I bought it. I haven't gotten it fixed quickly because if I switch it off then on again it will work again. However these past weeks, it got worse already. It couldn't sense at all or it was really sensitive. How could I use a phone like that. LOL. Since, it was still covered with the warranty, I went to the service center last November 16th. They ordered the trackpad to their supplier and it arrived last Wednesday so I had it fixed last Thursday, November 22nd. The warranty is only until January 4th, 2013. I hope it won't malfunction again or if it will, I hope earlier before the warranty lapses. LOL. We're lucky because we have their warranty cards. It was my first time to use a warranty card. Thanks for sharing and happy mylotting.

I ask it to the warranty man if I can extend it if possible the date was already expired and he told me there is no extension period for that. Therefore, until next month I can still use it if ever the phone has a problem again.

Oh. I hope it will work after the repair too. I am wondering if until when can I use it again. When I bought my phone, it just gave me a month to use it without any problem. I guess I won't buy a phone with trackpad again. LOL. Thanks for the comment.

I have not had to use the warranty on anything that I have bought. Usually it lasts through the warranty period and buy the time it tears up, the warranty has run out. I am glad that the warranty came in handy for you. If something I bought did tear up, I would be thankful for that warranty then.

I have used the warranty a few times, with latops, and cellphones in the past. But many times they dont cover a lot of things they say they do. I had to put up a fight to get it covered, after the salesman lied.

That's my second thought when I have to pay the damage they told me that they will ask me first if they will continue to repair it within my cost. And I thought that it is not practical to pay and continue it on repair I will just buy a new one instead.

Yes they told me that if they discovered that the problems because of us like parts are been broken it will not cover the warranty. It is just it seems the problem of the phone is really on the program that's why it doesn't cost me anything.

That is good that it was covered under warranty. Now a dys it would be cheaper to go buy a new phone. I know they always say such and such is covered when it isnt just to get you to pay more for the extra warranty.

Yeah several times I got my phone's software update. 5,6 times free in the warranty period :D & this time when i knew warranty will expire ibn few days I went to the store and got my software update before time. Yeah but I missed my laptop warranty period and have to pay for some problem in it. My microwave has 3 years of warranty :D But we didn't faced any problem yet. We also got washing machine fixed for free.

I am so glad I had the foresight to take out an extra three years warranty on my Apple Mac computer, I bought it in 2010 and last year it developed a fault, I had to travel some miles to get it to a special Apple centre and they got it fixed for me and the warranty covered it. My computer has since developed another fault, something different this time and I have had to book it in again!!! If I hadn't of taken out the extended warranty it would have cost me a fortune to have it looked at and fixed. The warranty was worth every penny!

It is good to extent the warranty service of our product I don't know if we have it here. I ask to the technician yesterday if I can extend the warranty of my daughters phone but they said it is not allowed. well its fine with I already used the warranty in the span of time.

I have not....ususally when I have something it breaks right after the warranty! Yup that is what ususally happens to me. Then it's not covered anyway. But it's okay as I am lucky enough that they do last long enough to outlive the warranty.

Yes, I did. I had a 42 inch Sony flatscreen TV that went bad just a month before the warrenty ran out. I called the warrenty people, and since it could not be fixed, I got a new TV. Well worth the price of an extended warrenty.

when we purchase any item normally we do not fill the warrenty card we do not read the instructions on it. And if we want to use the warrenty card it is a big headak work. In some one has patience and invested lot of amount and he should go for warrenty card and use it.

after sales service is different from one vendor to another. In my case, local vendor is better than world-class vendors. I bought local brand washing machine; when it's broken; the vendor gave me a very timely assistance and fast. then I have a N phone (by Finland); they ping pong me from one center to another and at the end they said I must wait for 30 to 90 days for some components (which for me it's unbelievable; the model is still in the market but they don't have components). also I have Air Con; Korean Brand; again they ping pong me from one office to another; and till finally someone who claimed himself Regional Sales Manager called me, after I threatened them to raise the problem to media.
