Why cant we post links in forums?

Hi Folks, Why cant we post links in forums? Surely it would be better to have a category dedicated to posting links! Obviously there would be rules about this. If you wanted to post a link you would have to write about that link, where it goes and why, an explanation and review on the site the link takes you to. I just feel that 1 link on your profile page is not enough to generate any traffic to your website. What do you think folks? this is possible, Ive seen it on other forums, the admins make sure the rules are adhered to, there's no spamming, why cant mylot do the same!! Were all here to make money and share tips and experiences, how can we do this properly when we cant really see what sites everyone's earning from, hope this makes sense to you all lol cheers for reading :)

Maybe you already knew the reason why we cannot post links on the discussion area. This is one common mistake of some newcomers because of their failure to read the rules.
We have our profile to post our links. In fact you can post several links there if you want.

It will have advantages and disadvantages if mylot allow us to send a link. Advantages is we easy to get a referral because most people here are looking for money online and disadvantages if 1 person post referral link another person also will do a same thing and it spam.

You can do right after 500 posts. Approved posts to be exact.
But do dream on posting referrals links or self promoting links.
To me it's nothing wrong, but people just against it. Well, I just go with it. I don't really care though.

I think most forums dont allow this because of spam. I know all the forums Ive ever done were spammed like crazy when links were allowed. Have a great weekend there. See ya

Hi friend,
I'm also new to myLot and tried to post referral links on discussions, I didn't know that since I haven't really read the Terms and Agreement. Haha, It's so long, don't have time. I just knew it's not allowed when I got an email saying they removed that post since it contains referral links hahaha. I'm afraid to do it again since they might ban me.
