Where Are All The Gay People?

I have been at Mylot for a few weeks now and I notice that there are very very few Gay people posting.
I think that Mylot would be a better place with the Opinions of Gay and Lesbian people.
We have postings from Atheists, Christians, Muslim, Straight, Men and Women - So I am not wrong to say that we would like the views of Gay folks?
Why not, we let the insane post.
Not just Gay people either - there are many groups of people that are not covered here.
Are they afraid of hate or insults?
I would welcome them

"shame" will be misinterpreted by many here too, and unfortunately it appeared on the wrong topic too

How can you tell whether a person is gay or lesbian just by how they write and through their opinions here, unless they state it outright? 
Or maybe you are not reading enough yet. There are many topics concerning gays and lesbians and several posted in them expressing their thoughts from their point of view.
This is an international site. MyLotters are international too and homosexuality is not accepted everywhere (yet) like it is where you come from. That is possibly one of the reasons that many are not as open as they might like to be.

MyLot is an eye-opener, for those willing to see. It is a learning experience in so many aspects and could be useful in helping many cultures to accept each others' differences, if it stays up and running for many decades.
To make my point, I remember years ago a topic about loo paper and many who participated did not use it as, in their part of the world, they use other means. Which brings me to the subject of water, which for some is precious while others shyte in it. Food for thought surely? We are all just drops in an ocean and if only we could all get along and accept that what is normal for some has been suepassed by others while for many others it is something they are completely unaware of.
Indeed gay people are not harming anyone. If anything it is the so-called straight people who are doing more harm

I have seen a few gay people posting here in the time I have been a member. I think MyLot has a good coverage area of all types. Maybe some of them are not into possibly getting bashed. I understand that. I also have not come across anyone who was extremely negative here either. So they should be posting here. I would like to see more view points from the gay community.
