The Search Is Over............After 23 years :)

hi mylotters,
Just wanna share this story my cousin was an overseas working in Kuwait in 1986 she was been with this Lebanese family for three years and she was like a family member to them when the Gulf War started they don't have a choice but to send her back home after that they lost communication. In past years when social networking site started we tried to search them but we are not lucky enough I'm the one who helped her to find this family we've been trying this for many years until she asked me to teach her how to use facebook just days ago I tried to search all the possible names that she is mentioning to me and finally I found one of them but I can't be sure if it is the right one cause the account was private so I tried to look at the friends list I found another family member and my cousin was so excited cause she is really sure that it was one of her employer's daughter we send message and then the next day she replied us after verifying some information about the two of them YES it was her really
.
Just today the daughter send the skype id of her mom and my cousin was able to see and talk to them she was crying I also get emotional about the scene cause I know how much she miss her employer and how she prayed that one day she will able to see them again. Her Madame offered a job for her again and she was happy about it cause through the years this family never forget her also and still keep her pictures with them.
Some people thinks that facebook has no sense at all because of the games, non sense status and even being misused but I think this social networking site help to find a long lost people that we want to see again. Anything can be useful as long as it is being use in proper and right way.

Hi friend, Security and virus protection is very important for our system, to keep our important data in a safe manner. Never allow your computer to be affected with unwanted virus, always keep a good anti virus software program in your system as well as update your virus software frequently to get good protection from unwanted threats and virus. A computer which is affected with virus will slow down at the beginning after that we will face some unwanted issues due to virus affection. Always give importance to your system security.
Now i am using kaspersky anti virus licensed version, the license will end by the coming December. Some of my friends suggested me to use avast Anti virus after the expiration of kaspersky, because avast is available at free as well as give the best virus protection like kaspersky, so i planned to download avast in my system.
Last year i bought my new pc at December and the shop keeper suggested me to buy kaspersky antivirus licensed version to protect the system, so i bought it, now the 1 year license will expire soon, so i am in need to download new virus software, i planned to use AVG anti virus, but some of my friends told that using Avast will give more protection than AVG as well as downloading avast is fast and secure compared to avg and it will give more protection without any cost.
Now i planned to download the Avast free version in my computer to protect it, I used avast in my old system and it gives a best protection to me, so i planned to use it again. In my opinion downloading free version of a good anti virus program is better than buying an anti virus program. Avast and AVG will give best protection to us.

Sorry, i misplaced the reply. Good to hear about this happy news, i too heard some news in this sort, fb is really a great site to find out the missing persons. I completely agree with your last sentence. Anything can be useful as long as it is being use in proper and right way.

That's amazing! Quite a long time yet still they were able to remember your cousin and that they still want her back. For me FB is useful. There was a time before that I kinda stopped using it because I got addicted with games. But now I've become active on it again, not with the games but with communicating with friends and my family.

i have an officemate who said their helper, after working for them for several years, worked overseas since he and his brother are now grown up. when she came home, she went to my officemate's house first because she considers them her family, not her own family. she was given jewelry by her employer overseas and she entrusted them to my officemate's mother.
i'm glad you never gave up helping her. i'm sure the employers will do all they can so she can return to kuwait soon. our people's caring nature is the reason employers don't forget us.

wow such a wonderful story very different from the usual stories of OFW working in Arab countries. Beaten, no food and all those horrible stuff. This one is a great story for your cousin was well taken care of and treated her as a part of the family. Another good news here is, the family she left in Kuwait are still alive and in good conditions. Great the FB has been proven its worth in locating loved ones and friends from distant places. She is lucky to have a employer like them I saw her Madam crying when she saw my cousin and the children that she take care of when they are 4 years old can still remember her because there are times that the whole family wondering how she is right now. I am happy for my cousin hope she will get back to her job with them again.

Nothing is bad about facebook or any other social networking site. It become bad when someone uses it for abusing the site. I'm happy for your cousin only few now are lucky to have employer that who cares for their employee.

That's a wonderful stories. The great benefit of social net is to help us find lost friends or relative and I had found some of my very good friend from fb too and be able to communicate to them again. This is the so called technologies????

I feel youbhabycatch. Facebook has also been the way for us finding my father's siblings after 12 years. We have lost their phone number and address and only thru Facebook were we able to find them. These social media sites have their advantages and disadvantages as well. Like what you said, it's our prerogative on how we're going to use it.

Yes you are right. Some people misinterpret the use facebook. I myself also has an experience of finding an old friend whom I have not seen or heard for 16 years already.
16 years ago, cellular phones are not yet really that known here so we haven't got the chance to share each other's numbers. At first I had a difficult time searching for him because they are plenty of R___l G_ in Facebook. So I need to open them one by one and some had no profile pictures in it. Until I gave up.
When mobile FB became a trend, I remembered him again. SO I again tried to search for his account. I did the same - opening a lot of fb accounts with same name as his. Until I found somebody who do look like him but a little different. I opened his account, and I think it was still new because there were no much content in it. I cannot find his friends. But I looked into the persons who liked his photos, who happened to call him uncle. I opened her account, and saw his family there. So it's positive that it was him. But his niece told me that he is already in military and has no access to fb for now. so he has not accepted me as his friend yet. But at least I found him at last.
