I have been addicted with Tiramisu cake for months now so I decided to bake my own. Yesterday was my chance but since I forgot one ingredient which is the whipped cream, I decided to make my own with the help of my husband of course, he likes the mixing part using his electric mixer. After 20 mins. of mixing, our great whipped cream became even more liquid, then we found out we did it the wrong way. I dont want to waste it so somehow I still used it. My cream is supposed to be fluffy and spongey but it's liquid that after taking out from the freezer it became ice cream!!! Anyone wants Tiramisu Ice Cream?????

Wow.. such yummy treats. I like that. Will you put a cherry on top of it please. It is a good experiment, maybe you can have it in a market. Accidental experiment turned to something else. Whoa... And a good team work between the husband and wife the most exciting part of it. Good job.

Yeah, somehow it still turned out delicious but there's still so much to improve before it will be out on the market just in case. The ladyfingers are having ice crystals because of the espresso with water. And it wasnt quite a good team because we have some little arguments about the cream, but all in all, everything went well.

Yes, I can imagine.. , great things start from small thing so you must try to think of a good substitute for water so it will not create ice crystals on your fingers i mean ladyfingers. It is okay it was a good team work because you did it and no one walked out of the kitchen. LOL I imagine Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore in Ghost while working on pottery. hihihi

Mavic your comment made me laugh right now..hahaha.. If I'm going to make my tiramisu an ice cream again, I'm thinking to use milk and cream for my ladyfingers. But this will be on summer, it's really cold in here and it's even foggy outside.

hi vernaC I am always a game for the ice-creams and cakes... and I am in for sure... when is the serving I have messed up many times in the kitchen - maybe because I have been experimenting a lot. I dont have an oven and have really zero idea of making cakes. So better, I leave the making and hop on to the eating part... I love to eat cakes

I did not know that some of these recipes for the cakes did not need and oven but a fridge instead. And this is really exciting news. We do have some jelly things available which go into the fridge before they can be eaten but I never knew about cakes. I am definitely going to search them. Thanks for sharing this wonderful information Anyway, just drop by and I'll be happy to share my new tiramisu ice cream...I feel closer to you dear

Hello thesids!! Experimenting is very helpful, I learn from my mistakes you know. And you don't need an oven for some of the cakes. There are some delicious cakes that need not to be baked, they only need to be refrigerated. Just like tiramisu and mango float and many more if you will search them through net. Anyway, just drop by and I'll be happy to share my new tiramisu ice cream..

You are making my mouth water for sure, I love tiramisu, where I used to go with my ex partner they made exquisite tiramisu and they got to know I liked it so would give me an extra portion because we were good customers, and it was homemade too. I am sure there is tiramisu ice cream, but if it hasn't been invented you should put a patent on it and start up a tiramisu business!

I became addicted with this cake for months now that's why I decided to make my own because it's becoming expensive. About the patent, this is really a good idea but it will cost much to start up a business here. I need a millions of respond to make a large payout from mylot if they do that to start my business..hahahaa..

Either one I'll take, although it's not exactly the season for ice cream here.

Thanks a ton for sharing this discussion. Well it is great to know that in spite of the fact that your preparation was dismantled just because of the absence of a single ingredient u went ahead and made an innovative item. I think we all should develop this kind of spirit and i think may be your new innovative Tiramisu Ice cream might go on to become more famous in the future. Just keep working this way and stay happy while cooking! What say?

hahahaa..I never thought of this unexpected outcome of my cake becoming an ice cream will become famous but I'm having a second thought. You're right, what if someone creates this tiramisu ice cream inspired from my topic. Well you know that the idea came from me ok.. I'm the original :-)

Wow! I would love to learn how to make a tiramisu cake. hahahaha. I will probably look on line for tiramisu cake recipes and let's see if I can buy them at the grocery store where we get groceries. Well, I think your tiramisu icecream is still good and if would be a delectable desert as well too.

Good that you still like it even though it did not come up the way you want it. My sister-in-law fiancee' made a coffee cream-the one starbucks put on top of their coffee co's he said he knew hot to do it. After 30 minutes of mixing the cream, it did not make any foamy texture but remains liquid-y. He was very ashamed of us and promise he'll buy a ready coffee cream for us instead. hahahaha. But actually we still like it!

I'm also thinking to buy whip cream but owlwings gave me a link for an easier guide without the cream. About your sister inlaw's fiancee, I'm sure he figures out where he went wrong so maybe he can do it again. It's more fun experimenting the ingredients as long as you are sure its safe.

I think it sounds yummy and I would love to have some! Don't shoot the messenger, but there is, or was, a tiramisu ice cream. I haven't seen it in the store for several years, though. The entire line of ice cream by that brand disappeared, though, so either the company stopped making it or the store stopped carrying it. It was Walmart, so the latter is quite possible. They have a bad habit of discontinuing my favorite products. I haven't seen it anywhere locally, however. Reading this discussion has made me quite hungry for tiramisu. I should really try making it in the near future, maybe for Christmas.

I know the feeling. I once have favorite candy and bubblegum when i was a kid, but I don't see then anymore in the stores. I kinda miss them as well.
