i heard lots of rumours and murmurs when the result of it was being announced, plugged on-air or posted on papers, magazines and even on the net when their own selves, their friends or relatives were not being included or being included of the list of the examinees. if there is one very intelligent student of his/her time did not passed the examination, his/her friends would say: "how come it happened like that, that he/she so very intelligent in the class." i will set my auntie as an example; this auntie of mine is a very bright girl. she excelled in her class and always on top. she even graduated with honours. but then, she did not passed the teacher's examination and come to think of it, for how many times she took that kind of test for teachers' licensure, still nothing happened to her. my mother used to tell us as we asked her why it happened like that and so, so just my mother would just reply that, my auntie needs to reform her bad behaviours. well, to add and not to disgrace her, auntie is very stubborn and very hard headed person and else for i do not want to mention her other weaknesses. and so sum it all, i guess your behaviour would affect your personality of course and to that, i guess too that God has a plan for you.
does this luck has something to do about your fate? because there are these students who are not so gifted but they managed to passed the exams. some of them, had their self-study or review. they did not enrolled to any agency who offered reviews accordingly. i just cannot understand why such thing happened like that. i guess, there is a simple logic to that all. pray as you take the exams but before that, do your part. study well and exert effort to pass. so as this saying goes, 99 percent perspiration and 1 percent inspiration. God forbid you to pass or even let you succeed to every of your activity if He cannot see good perseverance within yourself.
ahhh... i do not know. pertaining to me, what i know is that, i asked God to help me for all of the struggles and guide me all through the way. but of course, i need to perspire to achieved my dreams and goals in life. so help me God and hope to you too..
so what can you say about this discussion... kindly take your turn given :) thanks

I think excelling in school and passing the exam differs in one critical thing: the teacher factor. In school, we make the grades but some portion of it relies upon our teachers' own discretion, like for projects and recitations. Although it is but a small percentage of our overall grades and school standing, it still makes the difference.
I remember when I was in college, I share the same last name with the University cumlaude. She graduated with honors, I did not. When we took the CPA board exams, naturally we were in the same testing center and even the same testing room. I passed, and she didn't. Lots of people back in the university questioned this, but it all boils down to one thing: the board exams are based purely on the knowledge of the examinee, and not how the teacher would rate his or her recitation or project. And in exams, every percentage counts. It matters as it spells the difference between passing the board or not.

in total, i am not certain why supposedly it happened like that. i guess we can name a few factors. well, agree with what you say, the stocked knowledge will be counted and so as the study habits i guess plus the luck for your classmate to pass that cpa board. so good that you able to made it no matter what despite of your standings at school. that is what i am talking about that not all intelligent person would be able to surpass that. i can say your luck and not to your mate... so thanks for joining :)

I think when it comes to exams and education, when one wants it, they should aspire for it and that they should really work hard for it, like studying hard, and working on it with their time. It is really with such that one can pass the exam - by studying well. It can be you are in luck that you were given easy exams but then if you do not learn or study luck can't help you as you won't be able to answer anything at all!

really, agree with you... even how easy the exams were given to you when you do not know the answer, still you do not know what would be the answers to it. if you study and persevere well in your studies, for sure you will pass all the subject area and for the licensure examinations for being professional and credible to the field you chose. so be it... and thanks for joining in here :)

I like reading Archie Comics and when Archie was asked his secret for having secured high marks, he kept his friends guessing who gave answers such as - may be he cheated, may be he was lucky, may be he knew the examiner and so on and so forth and for every answer he got he had to reject them and finally he gave out the reason and the reason was that HE STUDIED!! Yes missjahn nothing is going to help you if you do not study!

hi,
I think hard work is necessary for any success then some luck works for some others along with hard work. Some may get success with luck sometimes but that's not possible all the time. Hard work is the one which helps us any time not luck.
