That's what I was told. A friend of mine died some days ago and someone on Facebook told me that the cause of her death is brain tumor. They said she found out about it too late. They scheduled her for operation on Nov. 25 but she succumbed before that date. I am really wondering about this illness. Does it strike anyone? What causes it? Doesn't it manifest with symptoms? Anyone with some information on this is free to share.

One of my close friends also has brain tumor. And she only found about it this year. She was supposed to have a surgery but I think the would not be going through it coz of the danger of being paralyzed even if the tumor was removed. According to he she would feel terrible headaches to the extent that she would throw up coz of too much pain. The day I learned about it, I really felt sad. I sent her a message through FB and told her how surprised I was to learn about it coz she doesn't seem to be in any medical condition coz she has always been a very jolly person. Nut I guess, a condition such as this just comes randomly. The cause of it is unknown.

Makes me think--does it have anything to do with cellphone use?

I have read articles that prolonged use of cellphone could contribute to such disease but then brain tumors didn't just happen recently. It has been a disease since then and there were no cellphone yet that time. And I guess, the cellphone usage isn't the cause of my friend's brain tumor. She isn't the type who uses it more than necessary.

Oh my, that's so sad. She doesn't even know it? I don't know anything about brain tumor but I know that one of it's symptoms is headache. A headache that's so severe. I'm so sorry for her, she didn't make it to the operation. Having that illness is really dangerous - no wonder she didn't make it.

I'm really sorry for that. I don't have concrete ideas about brain tumor except that if one has tumor in any part of the body it should be removed and operated. However, the operation is not that easy. One has to be physically and emotionally fit too.

Why are there no indications or symptoms that she had it? I mean like the common symptoms like headache and vomiting. this is setting aside the mood of the person because it may vary from situation and environment. I am sorry to hear about your friend. This shows that we really need to take care of ourselves and be considerate and attentive to small changes we feel. We should not ignore minor headaches and take ibuprofen for it.
