My Early New Year's Resolution

I know it's not yet new year, but I have already thought of one thing I really wanted to achieve, for a change. It's about allotting a few hours a day for doing things I really like. Have you ever wanted to read a good book? Create a work of art? Learn a new language? Or watch a good movie? And then only to dismiss the idea because you don't have enough time for those. But then, how many hours do we spend lying on the couch and bore ourselves in front of the TV? Or the hours we spend going through the news feed in Facebook? In fact, there are many hours in a day that we can use to do things we have passion for. Life is short, so we might as well start and do things that will make us truly happy. How about you mylotters? Are you spending enough time for your hobbies? Do you already have a new year's resolution?

my new year resolution is to get a new job that I like. unlike you, if I have passion for something, I will do it without regret. Just as if I want to see a movie tonight, I will invite my friend to go with me. if she has no time, I will go there by myself. It is about one thing I complete. satisfaction I receive. For hobbies, i like reading English novels, such as PRIDE AND PREJUDICE. i SPEND HALF AN HOUR to read every day.

Good to hear that you know your priorities well. Other people like myself tend to put off things and then regret it later for not doing them right away.

Chinese is indeed an interesting language. I am also determined to improve my skills on this language. Best wishes to you. I hope you'll achieve your goals for next year.

Yes. I strongly agree with you seriousnuts. I have so many plans each day, I'll do these and those, but usually at the end of the day, I only accomplished one. I told myself that I'm not getting any younger, so I need to manage my time. I bought a planner, and every weekend, I'm writing down my activities for the next week. My planner helps me a lot for me to manage my time effectively.

Hi wittynet. Well that's a great step to successful time management. I would also love to have a planner! It's better seeing those tasks listed on paper rather than just inside my head.

Very true! we always say that we don't have time for that, for this etc. but the thing is we just don't really know how to organize our time. Well speaking of new year's resolution, mine would be to struggle more on earning for my extra money, well i want to have more extra money for me since the money that i got from my regular work is intended for my family, hence i want to have something just for myself. :)
