Life is a bunch of rocks, that got thrown at you...

Yeah. This is life in a nut shell. Ok thats all I wanted to say.
Just kidding, its me, Cody, I always have something to say. But really. If you look at it life like this, you might be able to dodge some of the bigger rocks (problems) and just absorb the pebbles (meaningless squabbles).
How can this be done? By not thinking you have all the boulders (knowledge) and remember the someone else may have some marble slabs (unique information) that may help you succeed and be a better person.
The interesting thing here is that no one can have enough rocks thrown at them. There is an endless supply, and even more so, demand. Rocks come in many shapes and sizes, and some are good and some are bad. Some you need to allow to chip at you to shape you, and others you need to let hit the ground.
I was wondering, how many rocks have been thrown at me that caused me to act in ways that I normally would not have? Which ones I could have dodged, and which ones I needed to chip at me and make me better.
What are the rocks in your life that makes you who you are? Is your rock love, Jesus, GOD? How about drugs, alcohol, and fast cars? Are you addicted to the rock of fear, or doubt. Would you allow someone to share their rock with you? Would you be willing to drop your rock and pick up another? Maybe exchange it for another?

Only one Rock and that's God (Father, Son and Holy Ghost) and I wouldn't trade that for anything.
I've had other rocks but they crumbled or rolled away when I needed them. I've had a lot of rocks thrown at me, too, and I'm not very good at dodging them. All of them made me who I am. It's been a long haul and I think I can still see a few boulders in the path ahead. I'm glad I don't have to deal with them alone.

You are very correct peavey.
In the long run the rocks that we need to stand on are the Father and his son. Amen to that.

Well, I agree that God is our rock.. and shelter, and high tower, and hiding place from the storm. The storms / rocks / troubles come sometimes because troubles come to all.. sometimes they are the result of our own actions or choices, and sometimes they are little or big meanness from other folks.. (some of these perhaps because of things we have said or done, perhaps!
) and also we have those enemies, Satan&co! All believers should pray for the protection, safety and well being of all believers.

I agree that GOD is our rock too. This is just how I sometimes see life. It is true that things happen because of our own, and others choices.
We are just passing through the asteroid belt of life.

This such an interesting thought, and I really believe in it. All of our lives consist of challenges, just some come in more disguised forms. We talk about our visible problems (like love life problems, financial problems, school problems), but if we think about it, we are in constant doubt and problem with everything... which religion to believe, what TV channel to believe, whether to trust our heart or our mind...

Wow
I responded to this just a few days ago and the response must have not went through. It is true that we have a ton of things to deal with in life and every day we need to remember that It never gets easier until we decide to make the chioce to just roll with the rocks...lol
No letting the world get to me. Just let me get done what I need to get done and it will all little things pass over me.
