Today is the national Thanksgiving day for San Pedro Calungsod. The devotees and the church community are busy with their programs for the day.
Then again, as expected, there are these chain text messages going around about a miracle to happen if you pass the message on to a few more contacts, within the day. It's claiming that the Saint would give you a miracle or good news if you do so, today.
I got one, I'll pray, but I won't waste my load balance on these chain messages.
Do you think this is some kind of a gig from the network?

" DELETE "
. St. Calungsod would never want anything like that, text messages were not yet invented during his time
, maybe Catholics should just burn a candle for him in church, maybe it's just the cellphone company ( like you hunch), just imagine how much they will make ( just my personal opinion)

Yes, we did not go to that though, since it is too far and we are sure it is going to get very crowded, and my wife doesn't like crowded places...she'll get crushed.
I do hate those chain messages, i never pass them, since it is a waste of time.. unless it is something informative.

There were indeed, millions of people who joined the event. People from all over the nation. It was a historical moment, but we didn't go either. No offense, but we don't really worship saints.

This is another modus from service companies.
I never entertained any of these messages.
It's irritating but I don't want to offend sender- so I just ignore the messages.
Sometimes I turn off my phone to avoid receiving those messages.

Whoah..was it really that bad, that you had to turn off your phone?
I couldn't imagine receiving messages like that every few minutes. If that happens, perhaps, I should get a new number.

Thanks a ton for sharing this discussion. Well i am glad to know that thanksgiving day is being celebrated at your place and one can witness many programs at the Church obviously which might be for the devotees and people alike.
i know such kind of messages are usually given on important occasions and i have always neglected such messages whenever i have received them. I find them extremely annoying and absurd. If u are true to God and to yourself, his blessings would be there with u obviously.
What say?

Yes, do you think its the networks who've started all those to make more money from the deceived users?
