the weird tactic by AVB

i mean the transfer policy..
AVB adds one goalkeeper, Hugo Lloris and didn`t sell one of his existing goalkeeper, from Cudicini, Gomez and Brad Friedel..
and he sell two of his playmaker in the same time, VdV and Luca Modric even he bring Moussa Dembele and American stars from Fulham , Clint dempsey..
the tough competition in goalkeeper sector of Fulham can bring the good effect but i can believe there are negative effect too...
and in january transfer, maybe Gareth Bale will moves to another club, AVB had agreed the rumour even he didn`t give detail when Bale will move away from White Hart Lane..
do you confuse too like me about this tactics??

As Brad Friedel, 41 years old, is very likely to retire at the end of this season, Carlo Cudicini, 39 years old, and Heurelho Gomes, 31 years old are still needed at Tottenham as backup for Hugo Lloris. I think even Cudicini may also be considering putting his boots soon. AVB is a smart coach. He knows what he is doing.

I don't think that he has forgotten that. But Spurs is not Manchester City or Chelsea. The club is not in the Champions' League and they don't have a boss with bottomless pockets. Not all the world class defenders want to join Spurs, and not every world class defender Spurs can afford to buy, even if the player agrees to join.

What I found disheartening was the fact that he easily accepted the fact that Bale will move away from the club. Harry was fighting hard to convince Bale to stay with Spurs and he managed to keep him. But AVB already seems to have given up on this. I think Gomez might also make a move from Spurs shortly.

Hi Wendi,
I think Gomez is an excellent shotstopper. But the problem with him is that he has a mad moment almost every other game. And for any club aspiring to finish in the top 4, that can be dangerous. That is why I think Gomez has fallen down the pecking order in the club.

Yes adhyz, although i am not totenham fan but i had same feel with you. But i little bit understood with this. For Modric we all knew that his heart wasn't in white hart lane anymore so i thought it's good decision when Andre Villas Boaz sold him. For Hugo Lloris i think spurs was wrong with bought Lloris cos they still had 3 old guy as goalkeeper. About Dempsey and Moussa Dembele, i thought Mr. Villas Boaz interested with those guy. For Bale i think Spurs will sell him cos he pursuited by Madrid and Inter since 2 years ago
