If we are preparing a document and I want to save it in D drive document Mylot folder and if we press ctrl + s then it will show us the My Documents which contain Music, pictures and videos folder but that’s a default path but if we want to allocate a specific folder to save document then how can we do it? Whenever we would press ctrl + s to save Mylot document the location should D drive document Mylot and not My Documents, anyone knows how to do that? Or in other word, how we can change the default saving location in Xp and 7? I want to do it to save time to which we need to go in Mylot folder form My Document D drive Document Mylot. It should be Mylot by default or I can change it any time. And another, whenever we press right click then New it shows the options like text document, folder etc but I am not getting the Office Document option, how can I add it in it and then I should be able to create new office document by right click new open office text document or Microsoft office word document. And is there any shortcut to web layout view (view web layout) in open office?

I think its not possible to change the default path to save a document. But once you save a certain file in a location for example Drive D:/mylot, then if you create another file automatically it will be open to Drive D:/mylot, the last save point where you save a file. That is just base on my observation, you can still search the net or ask some friends who are expert on this..

Microsoft office and Open Office are most likely similar on its feature. I think you can easily get to used on how to properly maximize the properties of Open Office. All you have to do is research and practice using it.

Yes, it is helpful. I always keep ob "Always ask me where to save files" what about you? I do not like to save all the files in a same folder that is why I have set that. whenver I go in cyber cafe I make this changes and select my flash drive rto sace filea.
