Ten Storied Building Constructed In 48 hours In India!!

A ten storied building was constructed within 48 hours on a plot located at the Industrial area of Mohali, which is a situated 10 Kilo meters away from Chandigarh. This venture was under taken by Mr. Harpal Singh, who owns the Synergy Thirstlington Infrastructure Company. Mr. Singh has taken over the British based company Thirstlington Products which prepares relocatable Steel partitions to merge with his Synergy Company in India. It seems Mr. Harpal Singh was disappointed when it took more than two years to construct his own house, so he has decided to come up with a solution where by one can have quick house at the same cost that one would invest in conventional construction system. He has planned whole project with his team of Engineers and other workers and he prepared all the required material in the factory which took about two months. They have not used any sand or bricks in the building and about 2000 tons of steel was used to construct this building. No foundation was dug for constructing this building. The work of construction on the plot started at 4.30 pm on 29.11.12 and by next day evening about 7 floors were ready. By 01.12.12 evening, the building was ready with minor works like fixing window panes etc, which were pending. Though this type of buildings are already constructed in China in the past, this is for the first time such building was constructed in India and it has been recorded by the Limca Book of National Records. The red and grey façade building ‘Instacon’ with outer walls made up of double skinned PUF panels, is very much suitable for Zone –V seismic area, (that is highest risk area for earth quakes) as per Mr. Harpal Singh. This building interestingly can be shifted from one place to another place just by dismantling it and shifting the same without incurring any losses. According to the company the building is having longevity of 600 years. Though this is not a unique venture in the World but this 10 storied building constructed in Indian within 48 hours, which is very strong, long lasting, quick to assemble and earth quake proof may bring a great revolution in the Indian Construction Industry and soon we may have many such buildings all over the country!
