Pirate Savy!

As i watch the 4 movie of Pirates of the Caribbean, i was wondering what does Johnny Depp mean by saying the word "Savy"? Does it mean "satisfy"? But anyway, I was enjoying to watch the movie. Johnny Depp is really my idol when it comes with that this. Very tricky and very funny.

If I remember from my 8th grade history teacher right, savy = pirate speak for dumb.

Thanks for that response. But someone told me that "Savvy" term from a pirate means "understand". But anyways, thanks for that.

Savvy! I like the way he spoke that word. Also you are right, it means "understand". Savvy?
