Coupons Ofcourse! I wrote three places, one which was Alexia Foods, I don't think they'll be sending any. Welch's however is, and so is El Monterrey! I am so excited about this! Not to mention some coupon's from coupon cutting services are on the way! EXCITED! Yes I am! I think one or two may be expired by the time I get them (it's a possibility) but it's a learning experience if they are. I am sooo excited about this and am thinking of signing up for my Sunday paper so I can get coupons myself. So that's my couponing excitement. I think Canada has better coupons! I'm in the US but watched a few Canadian videos of coupon hauls, and it's like say WHAT! lol

I used to live in las vegas, and a coupon club taught me to also send emails online at company sites. Id tell them how I liked their products. You would be surprised how many send free and cents off coupons to me. Give it a try.

That's what I meant when I said wrote. Writing them snail mail wise would take too long and could get lost in the mail, lol.

Thanks, I'd appreciate it. I may not write them all but atleast it'd be something to have just in case. Plus the fact the coupons directly from them are usually higher value.

I absolutely love the Welch`s snacks (I`m sure not so healthy but I like them for work quick and easy). Most coupons from companies have a long expiry date 6 months to a few years. Now you are wanting me to get back into it, I use to use a lot of coupons in college, but now I was working all the time. I usually go to sites like MyLot to make money and forget about coupons. I got a few deals the other day with coupons, I k now the coupon system isnt as good here as there. If you check out my FB pictures, you can see my hauls a few years ago. I wish you luck and hope you don`t get too addicted.

I have seen some of your hauls and am amazed. I don't think I will get too addicted, but I am going to atleast try to save a few bucks while stocking up on a few things. I figure if I can get it with coupons and at a good deal now then later I won't have to buy it atleast for a month or two. I may calm down after the initial "shock" of it all, but I will always want coupons for things like toilet paper and beverages. I've seen some people who have binders or trapper keepers full of coupons, I mean 5" binders full!

See that would make me mad. When people take things that are mine in this house, well okay not everyone, but one person in particular? I tell them that they owe me for the price of the item. Sometimes I've gotten the money back on it, especially if they ate more of it then I got a chance to eat. There are many ways to get coupons, and I am finding that out as I go along. Some people are crazy with how they get them though, and some who only have a family of two or three still get like 8 newspapers, that is ridiculous.

I was never that organized, I did buy a folder from the Dollar store (and I still have it in my car), it has dividers, and I split it between animal food, my food, etc. But I usually make a list before getting to the store, getting the coupons in a seperate envelope. I use to have a lot more but I got tired of trading with the old ladies, and them trying to screw you over. I do try to use it more for products now, when I move out this will increase for dish soap and such. I got some when I was school, and my parents and brother stole them saying they cant afford them so they just took them when I wasn`t looking.

I am always using coupons, here in the UK some shops have loyalty cards that you use each time you shop and you get free coupons to things that you use, their system is clever because it records what you purchase in the past and will send you coupons for things you will actually buy! I have several cards that get me regular coupons, it all mounts up, if you spend £10 you get £1 back, I look forward to getting coupons in the post or when I shop and I get extra coupons with my purchases. In these lean times every penny counts.

That is an interesting name for them - catalina's you learn something new here every day! I have never thought of writing to the company to get coupons, that may differ from here to Canada too.

The machine is called a catalina, I don't have a picture of one and it'd look funny if I took a picture whilst at work or I would but they are simple little machines. The different manufacturers / brands have a lot to do with different coupons as well. We may all have products in common but there are some things made only in or for Canada, the same with the UK. I've seen some products not offered here I want to try.

We have the same sort of system over here. We have them scan our loyalty card or give them the number linked to the card and after our transactionm coupons print out relevant to what we buy. Sometimes they are a different brand, trying to get us to try their brand. The machines that these coupons come out of are called catalina's. I wonder how different the coupons are over there versus over here. We have some good coupons, better if you write the company as the coupons are higher in value usually if not free items.

We can't use coupons from Canada in the U.S, can we? Did you read the book by the lady who wrote over 100 companies asking for coupons? I thought that was pretty take charge by her. I thought it was cool that over half of the companies wrote back with coupons included. My dad buys the Sunday paper and I take the coupons. He doesn't like to mess with them. I pretty much end up saving at least the amount that the paper actually cost. Often more than that.

I don't believe we can Ambie. I saw coupons on a video that were for Canada. A lot of them look just like ours, but there are some that have it in French too. I suppose if it's an American company, even if it's partially in french we may be able to? Who knows. How we'd get the coupons down here and if it'd be worth the expense is another story though. No I've not heard of the book but that is definitely interesting and a powerful take charge attitude. I believe our Sunday paper would cost me around $1.50 to $2.00 to be delivered per week, not to bad considering that with tax it's $2.14 if you go to a store and get it. I am hoping to save a good amount, I'll be pairing it with some good buys from my own store when I see good deals come in.

I am so happy for you and glad that they have responded. As you said this is a learning curve and I do love to see those shows broadcast from the US where these leadies buys trollies of stuff and end up paying $10 or something small like that. I am sure that they attack this like a home business and take it seriously and so they succeed. Please let me know how it goes for you and if you find it worthwhile. Meanwhile - keep cutting out those coupons

I am actually paying pocket change for them to be cut out for me via coupon cutting services. Other then the few places I've written and coupon book type things I've sent after for, that's how I am getting them right now. Now you do have to keep in mind over here a lot of places have strict policies. Watching some youtube videos it seems a lot of people go to places like Walgreens and CVS to get their detergents and toiletries on the cheap / free. I will be most likely taking a page out of another mylotter here (book) (we all know who she is) who tells us about her great deals, and posting my stuff as well. I want to stock up on Body Washes and Shampoos as well as Razors if I can. I'm not against using a man's razor (they work better actually!) and so if I can get another free one like the one I got months ago, I sure enough will.
