Do you like the remixed songs?

I still prefer to the original songs because I get used to it. I can't adjust to the new melody of the remixed version. I seldom will like a remixed song because it seems to be a new song for me. How about you?

Personally I'm not keen on remixes or cover versions of songs I almost always prefer the original version.A friend of mine really likes remixes and is always looking for new ones.Sometimes I find remixes really annoy me you just get inti a song you really like as the intro is usually the same and then it changes and realise someone has messed around with a song I really like.Though some remixes aren't really that bad.

Depending on the song and the artist, I might like a cover if the artist covering the song adds their own style to it or just does a really good and creative job of covering the original song.

Hi youless! I think remixes are doing pretty well!Undoubtedly old is gold but sometimes we go for some imitations.Remixes are kind of imitations or fake jeweleries but one can have it once in a while. It is unfair to judge or compare because the word 'mix' is there which proves it is not original and if its not original then it must be having something different from the original. Remixes are not always loud , there are many which are sober and melodious too. I have seen the younger generation getting curious to listen to the original ones after hearing the new version. So it can be called a guidebook to the old melodies in new package.Believe it!the newer generations is really liking and listening the older and originals too after the remixes.

For me, it really depends on how the remix sounds. For example, if it's a dubstep remix or mash-up done properly then chances are I might like it. However, if it hardly changes the original song, then I don't really see a reason to listen to it if you can just listen to the original song. In other words, the crazier and more original the remix, (theoretically) the better and more fun the remix will be to listen to.

If there is no big change, I don't think it is a remixed version.

Well regarding to this discussion I think we should talk about that in different occasion. The original songs can make you peace when you at home or alone but the remixed songs can make you full of energy when you in a KTV or a nightclub.

It seems that the remixed songs usually have a faster and cheerful melody and it is suitable for dancing.

some remix songs have a good melody just like the original version of it.. so sometimes there are songs which is a remix that i love also to hear.. because they put a little spice on it and make it something different to what we used to hear.. sometimes change is good..

For me, it depends, but most of the time, the original is the version I like best. At the same time, it is not easy to imagine that the remixed version that was released afterwards was the version that got released as the original version. I've tried that, & I still think the actual original version is better, but that could be because I've gotten too accustomed to that version. The same can be asked if in a band or group, the original lead singer got replaced by someone else. Most people would prefer the original lead singer.

I am not a great fan of remixed songs, to me it's kinda cheating, using old tracks and revamping them, the worst songs I hate I great songs from 70s and 80s where they have been torn apart through rap music. Mind you I detest rap music so that's doesn't endear me to them at all. I know of a few BeeGees songs that have been remixed and they sound terrible!

hi youless I think remixed sonds are like re made movies as the original movies are usually so much better. if I love an old song I want it t o always sound the same not all messed up.It like an imitation of the real song and not as pretty at all. Like I Cant Help Falling In love with You[by Elvis does not sou nd the same if remixed and sung by an utter unknown.

I love music but I don't like songs to be remixed. Revival songs are way better than remixed songs.

No, i dont like the remixed songs at all. it sounds horrible and there is no matching of the tone. the old melody of the old songs are very nice and it brings pleasures to our ears but when it is remixed it becomes very fast and sounds like a loud noise, coming from a mike.

just like you, i usually prefer to listen original than the remixed or re-sing by other singer. but some songs are better (for me) when they are remixed and sung by another singers. i notice two songs which i prefer the new version: leaving om the jetplane which is sung again by chantal k, and more than words which is sung again by westlife. more than wirds originally is sung by extreme is also nice song but when westlife sings that song in a modern way, i like it directly. i like the way shane cs sings it. but i like the original version mostly..

I have the same feeling and I believe that first impressions are firmly entrenched. Most people like my age like some old songs, which were popular at that time and are now worth hearing a hundred times,But I dislike the remixed ones.I think they are neither fish nor fowl.

hi, some are really appreciative ,but some are just not good. The problem with the remix is we can only hear the loud music and nothing else. The main theme of the song is lost in the loud music. I like songs with good music ,not loud ones.

Thanks a ton for sharing this discussion. Well yes u are absolutely right, old is gold and remixes cannot come on par with the old ones but for the younger generation, the remixes have worked pretty well and it is because of their interest, demand and craze that the remixes are happening in huge numbers. I think this is also a good way of reliving an old song in the minds of the young masses so that they can have an idea regarding the song that was a craze back then. What say?

Actually I listen to it but not totally that I like it. it really depends on the song and the singer. some songs are improving when a remix is done. remixing a song is normally done for disco and club songs.

Yes, why not, it brings a new kind of music and new kind of taste to the songs. I liked the remix done in Moulin Rouge movie. "El Tango de Roxanne" == Roxane + adaptation of original song. "Elephant Love Medley" different loves songs sung by Nicole Kidman and EWan Mcgregor. "Lady marmalade" so nice..... I downloaded the soundtrack and the movie because it was a nice Broadway, musical film.
