Philippines is experiencing today the harshness of the super typhoon "Pablo" (international name Bopha).. Places in Visayas and Mindanao are greatly affected with this super typhoon.. But Mindanao just had tragic experience also because of a typhoon on december last year...and they had so many casualties, many died and lost their homes because of the flash flood that swept a part or Mindanao, particularly Cagayan de Oro City...And now, they are experiencing typhoon again..and as of this moment, cagayan de oro city is currently experiencing floods on some areas..and for sure, they are afraid that last year's tragedy might happen again.. All we can give them are our sincere prayers for their safety..

Hello betty, That reminds me of that storm that hit my place way back 2007 or 2008? it was so strong that all of the branches of our mango tree fell. lets hope those people from the typhoon prone areas has survived.even with those who have cement and bigger hours are still prone to dangers.

Hello kaeirole, calamities can never be avoided most specially if they are very strong in nature. Or whether they are part of human made pollution that causes the climate change. at least now they are prepared for this kind of disaster. no one really wants to be unprepared twice there.. nature can't be stop or dictate to, but we can always be ready for it

My sister told me that whenever the wind blows, it's really hard that it feels like the house is going to fly with it. I really wish everyone to be safe back there, and hopefully everyone will listen if officials are saying to evacuate the areas prone to flood and landslide.
