Classes still suspended here in Cebu, though the sun is so high up

We called the school admin's office and they confirmed that there are no classes until today. We were surprised to hear that, because even without hearing the weather news, we know that it's no longer going to rain hard. The sun is high up in the sky since early morning and there's no wind. My daughter was so ready to prepare for school but anyhow, it's another day to rest and relax at home.

I think it was because the declaration of the no classes was done before the next day, they were expecting the typhoon will hit Cebu main area, but thankfully it has not come. Thanks for all the prayers, We are bless we have our Snr. Sto. Nino and St. Pedro Calungsod to protect us all..

That's right, very blessed, indeed. I just hope God continues to spare our province.

I hope you and your family are okay. And maybe the reason why the classes was still suspended was because the school needs some cleaning or the road going to the school needed some clean up, as well.

Not really. The typhoon didn't really hit us that bad here in our place. The wind was strong, but the rain wasn't that hard. So, today, it's all dry and temperature is high.

Better that than experience hard rain when you daughter is in school... i remember before when classes would be suspended when classes are already on going... and it was so difficult to go home because of the rain... some administrators would rather just let the students stay and wait to be picked up by the parents rather than risk the safety of the kids...

I understand that case. However, its really dry around here the whole day. But of course, they need to follow rules when it comes to PAGASA forecasts.

it is good to hear that it doesn't rain so hard in your place. though the typhoon went away I think the admin in your school is just preventive and taking measures so that students will not take the risks.

It's still signal number 2 for the rest of cebu, according to Pagasa, so I think they're basing it on that.

you can take this time to play with your daughter. Go to park and have fun there. No classes and sun rises. What a good day. Your daughter may want to play with her classmates. If you could, bring her to visit her best classmate and you can chat with others. Also, it is a good way to communicate with other mom like you. You can get better understanding of your daughter.
