Fatty foods and wine are on the shelves and everybody buys them. People eat crisps, enjoy Big Macs and red wine whenever they want. Cigarettes are legal and on the shelves for anyone to buy it, but people glare at you when you light one... we all must die one or other time? We all want to be happy here on earth? What is the difference between the unhealthy burger & chips and the cigarette?

Yes, it is true, we all die and sometimes what we do to our bodies makes this happen sooner than later. People will eat fatty foods, ingest sugary sodas, and processed foods. The one difference between smoking and all of these things is that there is this thing called "second hand smoke" just as anyone has the right to smoke, so too do those have the right to breathe fresh air. My son is allergic to smoke and should not be around it at all. I support peoples' right to smoke, but I don't support the right to breathe smoke in someone's immediate environment. My Dad smoked and he smoked a lot, the second hand smoke can be seen on the kitchen cabinets, yellow and stained on the outside, but white and new on the inside. This is the difference between sugary/fatty foods and second hand smoke. When you eat those items, you are not ruining the health of someone else, but only your own.

I think it's your life and money, so it's up to you on how you will spend and live with it. As long as you will not harm other people like smoking in a crowd...

Smoking is bad, and so are all the other habits in life. Eventually we will all have to take the consequence of our habits. The New Year us the opportunity to start fresh again, hey!
