That is the picture of Pablo's aftermath and legacy to Filipinos. Although the government really did prepare in my opinion,I guess we could not really stand a chnace when Mother Nature decided to unless her powers. Mindanao, in my memory, isn't exactly a target for typhoons in our typhoon history but I think it is becoming more prone to floods. I think that since Mindanao isn't as developed or flood prepared compared to people in Luzon, it took a much harder effort to combat the flood, rain and their forces. After the storm, there will be a lot of damage and the need to rebuild. However, Pablo will be remembered by the people of Mindanao.

I hope that will also be alright. It's sad that this comes when we are nearing Christmas. Families might not enjoy the feast but I think we can emphasize more on giving to people rather than the receiving.

this should remind us that mother nature's wrath is beyond human control for despite all the preparations, damage to lives and properties is still extensive. Palawan is deemed out of typhoon path but was not spared this time. If we continue abusing our natural resources what's next?

In the latest news today some of our government people concur that illegal logging and mining had contributed to these massive destruction. May these open the eyes and touch the hearts of the people behind these activities to put an end to their greed.

sigh. I think that we will never learn from experience after experience.I tihnk some us have the mentality that the worst will never happen if we abuse Mother Nature or we need a lot of resources to make a living. and yes,we are proven wrong every single time.

I guess more dangerous disasters. I think recent storms and earthquakes are getting more intense as time goes by. It's the present picture anyway. i just hope that we are doing enough to prevent it or lessen the effects if we can. Motivating enough people is another story though.

It is really a devastating scene out there. The image of our fellow Filipinos lying on the ground covered with mud and lifeless is really a tragic picture. Everyone can do the simplest things to help them, thus, recovery will not be far enough

That is a good thing. Sometimes, disasters like these bring the best and good in us as a people and as individuals.
