The weirdest thing happened at my house today...

My friend and I left my house today through the front door, walked around to my driveway...and her car was blocked in by the big brown UPS truck which has backed into my driveway; doors open, and all these packages are lying in my driveway. The two UPS drivers tell me that I have two packages to be delivered; that when they pulled the first one out, all of the other packages tumbled into my driveway, and that now they can't find my other package. They ask us to help them look for it. None of us can find it, so they just tell me that I guess I am only getting one package today, they load up the truck with all of the packages on the ground, and leave. And my friend and I just stood there, thinking we must be in an episode of the Twilight Zone or Candid Camera or something...or maybe a commercial advertising for Fed Ex instead.... I never did get my second package, either! Has anything weird like this ever happened to you?

I never had encountered that a package was lost in our house. I think you must follow for your second package so that you can receive it. That is kind of weird story of you.

I suspect the package ended up at someone else's house by mistake, since these guys seemed to be kind of disorganized...maybe they were new? I kind of hoped the package would have been delivered at the end of the day. When their truck was almost empty, I thought maybe they would find it. But no such luck!

Oh, that was weird. I hope they should be careful next time. It's also annoying. What if you're expecting your package and you are so excited to receive it. Then that happened. Oh, my. If that happened to me, maybe, I didn't let them go away. They should give me my second package before they leave my driveway.

Yes, I should not have let them leave, but I was just so surprised by the whole thing. I should have gotten a tracking number too. At least now I'll be prepared for the next time the UPS truck dumps a whole pile of packages in my driveway!

I would be looking around for any concealed cameras, that is some weird experience you had, I hope you get your second parcel, if indeed they were two parcels for you in the first place. I ordered some soap of the internet, I bought it via Ebay, it was special soap that I bought for a ninety year old aunt as a surprise. She got the package and all the soap had been taken out, just an empty wrapper, now who would steal soap? That smacks of desperation. When I contacted the seller she assured me that she had packaged the soap up real well and no way could it of slipped out!

That's a weird story too--wonder who needed soap that badly??? I know what you mean--I did feel like there might be a camera someplace! (Maybe there was and this will all end up on a commercial). No second package yet--and I called the regional service center and they couldn't help me...they said they will check with the driver and let me know what happened.

Nope....you can have this one all to yourself! I bet the whole situation was a bit eerie! Hopefully they will run across your other package and you will get it in a timely manner!

Yes it was...or extremely silly! No one seems to know what has happened to the second package...if there really is one....

Ohmigosh, that does sound like weird and unique situation. I have never had that happen to me before. Its a good thing that no one has gotten injured by all the falling boxes. Sometimes I do have to wait quite a long time to receive a package. Sometimes that deliveryman leaves a notice on the door to pick up the parcel at my local post office and other times they just leave the package at the front door. I hope they find that second package for you.

Yes, I was glad no one got hurt too--especially since some of the packages that fell out were quite large. Not sure how I would have explained this to my homeowner's insurance....! I never did receive my second package. I hope someone out there is enjoying it--whatever it was.

Wow, no. That was on the wierd side I agree. They are probably loaded with alot of deliveries and got side tracked somehow. Is there any way to track the other package that you haven't gotten yet? I have had a heck of a time getting one of the parcels I wanted from Amazon last time, but now I have had to order the same item again only cause I want more of it, besides the other package that finally arrived and Ihope I'm not delayed again with it all.

Good luck with your package...hopefully the second one will come more quickly. It is weird, right? And I called the regional services center today and they had no record of a second package....they are going to check with the driver and get back to me. We'll see what happens!

Fortunately, none. I have a friend who was supposed to receive a necklace from her Dad. Once she got the package, all she got was the jewelry box. No necklace.

That's terrible. I hope at least the father had the necklace insured to cover the loss.

Packages come with a piece of paper you have to sign. Did you ask him to show it to you?

Yes, they do, usually. But these guys were so flustered they didn't ask me to sign anything--either for the package I received, or the one I didn't. And the whole situation was so weird that I didn't think to ask.

So what happened to the other box/es? sounds weird really I remember long ago when my mom sent us packages through government post offices. The box reached us for more than a month, lured and lots of items missing

Sorry that so many items from your mom box to you were taken...that is such a shame when people do that. I don't actually think anyone took the box I think they just lost it or mis-delivered it to someone else's house. These guys really seemed kind of clueless...

Looks really weird and a bit clumsy but I guess the falling of boxes maybe unexpected. I just hope that your second package will deliver very soon.

Yes, it was unexpected, to say the least! And no second package yet....

That was pretty clumsy of them. If there were a second package to be delivered, the second package would have been written and recorded on their list or bill for you to sign when you receive it. So there must have been another package on the truck somehow and I believed someone must have overlooked that one when putting all those packages back into the truck. This is pretty common and you should be asking about your other package though as it might have been something important.

That's exactly what I think happened--they simply overlooked or misplaced my box, or perhaps delivered it to the wrong house. On their record sheet, though, it did say I was supposed to get two boxes. I just didn't think to ask where the other box was from. And they didn't ask me to sign for the first box either. I am hoping the second box is a Christmas gift for me! And that it actually shows up.....

Really? i mean how can they be so irresponsible. You didn't get the second package. Hmm as you said its quiet filmy. I never faced such problem.

I think they were just overwhelmed by all of the boxes--especially because they were sitting in my driveway in a heap! I hope none of the other people's packages contained anything delicate or fragile...
