in the morning.
so every morning, i walk around three blocks here in our village. nothing fancy, i wear my walking shoes, strap on my pedometer, and set my cellphone to alarm after 30 minutes. i do brisk walking and try to reach a certain number of steps. i try to keep and maintain a good pace. i also try to increase my strides.
anyway, at the end of each walking session, i drop by a store to purchase either an energy drink or sometimes bottled water. i usually stay a bit and finish my drink. sometimes i chat with the sales lady on duty. the store also sells newspapers. one time i asked if i could borrow and read the comics page of one newspaper. the sales lady was kind enough to let me. anyway, me borrowing newspapers became more often until i found myself browsing and reading through the newspapers that they sell. that would be from one to two broadsheets and maybe three to five tabloids. lol!
anyway, i know that i ca read these newspapers online and that would be minimal costs for me but nothing sure beats being able to read newspapers for free.
so, has anyone else tried this... i mean try to borrow newspapers and read these for free?
everyone is welcome to chime in!!!
cheers!!!

I think you can do the same thing at the library but if you have a routine where you walk and get some reading time in then you're probably doing more than most people. I like to read and exercise so I usually have my iPod ready with some music or an e-book. It also sounds like you are building a great relationship with the news stand lady.

hi gitfiddleplayer.
yeah, the library is one place that i haven't been going to much. i'll definitely look up nearby libraries so i can visit one once in awhile. tried listening to podcasts and audio books while exercising as well. there are times though that i prefer to leave my ipod behind and just listen to the world around me as i run.
'it sounds like you are building a great relationship with the news stand lady.' - lol! not sure why but the statement made me laugh!!! if i was getting stuff from her store for free, then i'd say it is indeed a 'great' relationship!!!
cheers and thanks for participating gitfiddleplayer!!!
