greetings to all of you guys,we all know that when work to a private company even at government admin are very strict to the late of every employee, that is why we are so thankful because our boss gave us or allowed us to adjust our time/schedule twice a month when we are late for almost 30 minutes meaning one time in every cut off.in our company we really avoid late because it will also affect our performance and they deduct it to our salary.
in the company where you working, they allow late?or they have grace period in late in your work?

There's no grace period. A minute late is equivalent to our hour salary. Whatever our reason is, they'll deduct our lates from our salaries. Even if we are experiencing the strongest and the most dangerous typhoons, there's no grace period. Good for you. Your boss is good. You're lucky there.

wow! your company is so strict on it and won't even give any considerations like the typhoon which are already out of human's control? it makes me realize that my company, though also having some negative attitude towards us the employees, is still better because they are giving us 15min grace period. Though we are still currently fighting for it because for the 11 years that I've been with the company, it was 1st time that they implemented time in for the supervisors.

Yes, you're luckier than us here. Fight for it. WE can't fight for us here because whenever we attempt, they turn us down immediately. They don't care about our safety. They just care about their clients.

it's just good that we have our Union here. all of the 3 levels have already created own own labor unions to protect our rights. Because the company is already doing things that makes the employees' rights suffer. but there are really times that they also put us down. and it is tiring to bring issues to DOLE...

No we don't have a grace period.
In fact, you will be deducted for even a minute that you are late. Besides, we have a policy that if you get a 3 times late or whichever comes first for the 20 accumulated minutes late for a week, you will already get a memo.

I think that most businesses want you to start on their time, sometimes it happens that you are late. If you make sure that you get your work done that day, even staying over a little after to make up the time most employers will look the other way. If you own the business though you would be loosing money. Being late isn't a bad thing but this world runs on the clock.

You have a generous and considerate boss. In the company I work for, we're very strict when it comes to time especially since our work has also a very tight schedule. Our clients are strict too when it comes to deadlines. But we do have a 10-minute grace period. More than that, a person is considered late already. If he comes in an hour late, he's deemed absent for half the day already.

Well we do have grace period but for just five minutes. Then when we got late for about a minute to 30 minutes it will deduct two hours salary then if you got late more than 30 minutes, definitely you will already half day. Company is quite strict in terms of coming in the office late.

over the 11 years that I've been with our company, attendance and time monitoring are being strictly implemented with our rank and file employees. but they give 15 minutes grace period, and after 15 minutes salary deduction and tardiness sanctions comes in. This is just fair because if they do overtime, they are also being paid. So time is really important to them.
However, it was only this year that they included supervisors in the strict implementation which made us complain because our overtimes and working even at wee hours and holidays are not being counted and paid. but with the 16 minutes late, we are already sanctioned as far as suspension if it reaches 7 days in a year. We really find it unfair.
