I knew a female when I was homeless that was and is scared to go use the bathroom alone. I don't know what happened to her. She never told me. One time, when I went to the Sunday night site for PADS, she was there. I woke up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom, she looked it from the inside. There was at least 10 other women there who need to use the bathroom and she locked it from the inside! I pounded on the bathroom door telling her to open the door, that she has no right to lock it when she is not the only female there! There was a mother and her daughter there. To be so inconsiderate of every female there to lock the door to the women's bathroom is inconsiderate no matter what happened in the past! That is why in what I wrote last about men not walking into the women's bathroom. Women can be attacked and assaulted anywhere. The same goes for men! When women get sexually assaulted in any bathroom or anywhere, then tell me that men have the right to just walk in the women's bathroom without knocking first!

Well, I am a male and when I use the restroom whenever I am not feeling well with my stomach, I actually locked it...I don't know...maybe because I hate people to know that I am inside of the cubicle and sitting in the bowl...and I also fear that some smell might be releasing in the air...but whenever I lock myself, I actually ask permission from our guards that I will lock it...in that way, people will not be knocking in the door.

That is different. She never asks permission, she just locks the door.

Maybe something happened with her in the past that makes her scared to use the bathroom alone. We cannot blame people for having phobia though it's really annoying.

Sure can.. but I have a girl friend who was attacked inside a bathroom at a rest. so it can happen anywhere. And anytime. Us gals have to be careful.. all the time. Take care there.

Hello. This is common in our country too. This assaults on women is the only reason why i hate myself for being a male. I cannot understand the reason for all these stuffs. I, myself, feel it so desperate that women should learn self-defense and kick the nuts out of men who attack them. Whenever i hear or get news about such incidents, i tell calmly in mind 'women are not toys, they have their own individuality...if i can feel it, why cannot men understand this?' I am sorry to all those women out there..
