eBay Dilemma

I know some of you will probably say there is no dilemma but here is the thing. I accidentally put up two auctions with the same item in it, without checking first. They both went off with bids and so I had two winners but only one of the item. The one that paid for it already was the latest one (from last Tuesday), the other one still hasn't paid for it cause they were bidding on other things but didn't tell me, I found out when they won second auction, and still they haven't paid so I dunno if they will even pay at all. I got paid for the second latest auction (Tues.) which had a higher bid also of $26. and the item only sold for $7.00 the first time with no payment yet (last Saturday). Here's what I wonder. Should I just go ahead and ship the one with the higher bid who has already paid or cancel and refund that one-- and still wait for the other one that sold for only $7.00 who has not paid yet but that auction went off first (Saturday)? I just can't let it go for only $7. anyways, that is just not a fair price but eBay is eBay I guess. What would you do in this case if you had made the error of listing it twice and only having one of the item? I am sure I will get a neg or neutral or something though. I also accidentally messed up on another item and can't find it, so I'm just not with it I guess, so many stressful and other things going on with me. I'm tired alot again too. But this isn't like me to screw up this much all at once.

I would go with the first auction. If you don't, it will look like you did this on purpose. Ebay will watch to see what you do in this case, and if it looks like you're just taking the one for the most money, it'll look bad for you. What do you mean you can't find the other item?

I would do that but the sale would only be for a measly $7. when the item is worth much more though. :( I so need the extra $ right now too. Oh the other item is lost as in I can't find it anywhere. I thought I had it on the shelf where i keep the other Christmasy things that are old but it's not there. I know I didn't sell it already. Strange things happen in this house. The other day it was a wierd noise no one could figure out where it came form again. (It's happened before)

Can I ask you why in the world would you sell it so cheap if it was worth so much more? Why didn't you start the bidding at the amount that you thought it was worth? The problem is, when you cancel an auction Ebay wants to know why. I guess you can see what happens and hope you're not caught.

I think your going to have to give one a refund or you'll be in trouble with ebay for listing it twice. How did that ever happen? Whatever you do good luck with thatQ

Yes, I plan to refund one of them. I have even told the other one who hasn't paid for the item yet that I need to refund it and just sell her the other item she bid on. I would never take both $ and just send it to one of them. I was just wondering which one I really 'should' refund or not sell it to.
