Pacquiao vs Marquez 5

After that very surprising and tremendous knock out at the very end of the 6th round, 2 minutes and 59 seconds to be exact, Pacquaio remained unconscious for seconds and was only able to gain his consciousness back after some time, but the time he got his senses back, the fight was over. The bloody nose Marquez celebrated his victory right then and there after the referee stopped the fight, though you can see he's already been hurt. I personally think that this will be the turning point of Paquiao's boxing career, I don't know what you think but I really do. Having said this, I also believe that this will not end everything between the two great fighters, there is a big possibility that they're gonna fight again for the fifth time. When? That, I don't know, no idea at all. I am a Pacquaio fan but hands down to Marquez for what he did. Putting you opponent to sleep inside the ring? Wow! There were lots of predictions about the fight that the Filipino champ will keep the belt but as it was proven, anything can happen inside the ring. For Pacquiao fans, keep supporting because a true fan never leaves. Congratulations Mr. Marquez! Job well done!

Devonais, I see you take your boxing seriously. Sounds like that was some fight. Like you said, a true fan never leaves. The last fight I was witness to (well a boxing match) was on a vhs movie, which has been awhile now. I imagine you are not feeling as anxious as you were.

Haha I don't know actually. I am not a boxing fanatic but since Mr. Pacquiao emerged from the ring, I started to like him and so I followed all of his fights and I never saw him being put asleep inside the ring, really the first time. Maybe I was just so shocked and did not expect that to happen that is why I really feel bad, not to his opponent but by the way Pacquiao lose the fight.

All the greats get knocked out at one time or another, but they always seem to go back to reclaim their title.

It was just a lucky punch of Marquez , Pacquiao leds ! He got more points compared to Marquez just that because of his eagerness to down Marquez that he forgot to protect himself . In fairness Marquez played so well , though bit old but still he punches are powerful and having strong stamina.

You are right. Pacquiao started to dominate the fight, and I personally think that if he did not get knock out, he should have won the fight, as seen in Marquez face that he has already been hurt.

Very well said! I am a Pacquaio fan but I do congratulate Juan Manuel Marquez for his victory. He did a very good job. I did not expect that he could knock out Manny. I was so surprised when he gave that lucky punch towards the end of the 6th round resulting to KO. But for Manny Pacquaio, there's nothing to be ashamed of. He dominated the match before that lucky punch and he admitted that he became over confident.

Yes. He was doing really good, but he got caught with that powerful punch. And it was 1 second away before the bell, this makes me really feel bad.

Pacquiao was interviewed and asked if Pacquiao-Marquez 5 is hatched, will you go for it? Pacquiao was quick in saying "Why not?" And the more promoter Bob Arum who was present and listening didn't oppose the possibility. Pacquiao-Marquez 5 is a big possiblity. In Pacquiao's eyes was clear the desire to recoup the fame and glory he has suffered from that thunderous RIGHT HOOK from Marquez. Congratulations to both stout-hearted pugilists, to Mexican Marquez for his well-earned victory and to Pinoy Pacquiao for accepting his waterloo without any alibi. GOD thank you for protecting Pacquiao's family. Pacquiao it seemed is physically okay. I feel the pain Jinkee had that moment she entered the ring to see her husband sprawled face-flat on the canvas. And Pacquiao's little Princess back home has a caring message for him, "Pa, we hope you're okay!"

Yeah I agree, the fight will not end just like that. I actually believed that if Pacquiao managed to survive the 6th round, Marquez was ready to loose, but as I have said, anything can happen inside the ring. Jinky's face was shown on screen and I can say she was really hurt but couldn't do anything for her husband. Ah boxing life!

You had said it well... Marquez beats Pacquiao and that is a part of history now. Well, I am not a fan of the both of them but being Filipino... still I feel pity for Pacquiao. But I believe that whatever happens has a positive thing that comes along. And it teaches us that nobody is indispensable... Everything can happen because we are not God and only God has the power among us.

Agreed! That was a big win for Marquez but the biggest frustration for the Pacquiao team. I just hope and pray that they are both fine now. A lot of issues are going around the world but one thing is clear, it was a clean fight. I guess :)
