Don't worry report it to the staff. Even if it's $3 not a million they must go after it. Did you open your account on public PC's?

Is your account verified? Avoid logging in to your account at public places. There are so many hackers today that can penetrate your account. I am a victim too. But Paypal made a way to counter that illegal act. You may request to dispute a transaction when you've found out that there is an unauthorized transaction made in your account. You can get back your funds if you win the dispute.

Make a claim with Paypal, they can find out from where the money was taken from. You might get it back. Worth a try there. Good luck to you.

No, I receive my pending amount from a person, but I don't know who it is. Until now the money is still pending, that is why paypal contacted me.

My account got hacked once and I lost 12 $ and I raised a dispute and paypal restored me the amount back from the hacker. Your account becomes unverified again until you submit the documents again as their requirement, though there will be limitations to your account you will only get to receive payments but you will not be able make transactions because of the limitations. I found out when I checked that the email which I used for paypal was hacked too...and the hacker changed my address and all my paypal details in it. I was not able to open my email account as well as the password for the same got changed. Avoid using paypal service from other sites unless you are too sure that they are genuine and be careful of phishing...because here is where the hackers target innocent people, they just ask your id and password saying that they are from paypal and due to some reason or the other your account will get terminated. In this case you have to contact paypal directly from their website and copy paste the details, from where or which site sent you the same, so the admin and support can take a timely action to catch such cheats...

Well, it could be that someone realized that they had sent money to the wrong account and that could be why this mysterious $3.20 disappeared out of your account and why your account was restricted. It doesn't necessarily mean that your account was hacked. I would be a lot more worried if the money that you had sitting in your paypal account had disappeared. I know that is one of the reason that I check my account every day. I don't think it will get hacked, but then again, I don't think anyone things that their accounts will get hacked.

As mentioned in another comment, probably someone sent the payment to your account by accident. Nothing to worry about.

I am sure paypal won't allow anyone to use your account because they always verify or send you notice for every transaction made before they proceed. I have encountered a problem with my account months ago and paypal send me a notice of dispute. I check and found that one of earning site did not properly send my earnings- some error was made. I attached a proof that I am the legit recipient and send it to paypal. The following day, my money/earning was successfully deposited to my account. That's how secure paypal account is.

A tip to you is: When you signup at sites, don't use the same password as you have for your paypal. That would make it easy for them to go into you account and then rob you :/ Happy earning!
