how can i try, if i just found about this article this morning??? hahahaha....
just what i said, it can be done, if u understand the use all the nutrition.
to loss weight meaning u need to burn your calories.
that why u need all the calculation thing.
u have to calculate, your calories take u take, and the calories that u burn.

Haahaa I thought what the hell? How can you lose weight by reading?
I do look at that table but you know I'm not 100% competent in what I'm reading but if I'm comparing I always look at the different fats and the sugars and go with the one that has the least amount. Another thing for people to know is not to be fooled when a product says no sugar because when you look you will see artificial sweeteners which are in fact worse for you!

Oh also they say be careful with the low fat products too as they can be worse for you. I can't quite remember but I think it also had to do with adding artificial flavours to give the product the flavour like the full fat version. So sometimes buying hte full fat one is better

Oh man, I thought that you were going to tell me that I was actually doing something right in my life by the fact that I read a chapter of a book every night before I go to sleep.
But, alas, you had me tricked. I do know that it is important to read the nutrition facts on the foods that we eat. However, I also know that there are a lot of times that we do fail to read those nutrition facts.

I have striven to start reading the nutrition facts of things that I buy. When I am shopping, I will check the label to see what type of nutrients the food has in it. Especially if I am buying snack foods, I strive for this rule that I will not buy it unless I can find some nutritional value in it. Well, is there any surprise that my number one snack food is becoming dry cereal?
I do think that we need to become more aware of the nutritional value of things that we are eating. Now, I am not saying that we cannot occassionally splurge on some junk food, but I do think that we need to know what we are eating. Also, I can say that they say it best to shop the outer edges of the grocery store. If you think about the outer edges that is primarily the shole foods areas of produce, meat department, and dairy. With the prices of food rising, I am tending to do a lot more cooking.

Even if you read all about the weight loss but don't practice what you read, it will still be a failure. Losing weight while reading? Nah.. I don't think so. It's all about the exercise and proper diet. I read all about those and even went to the gym, but because I don't have discipline and I love sweets, darn, I'm still fat. :( To make matters worse, they all ended in my upper arms and belly. waaahh!!

Awareness is good, but you have to make a conscientious effort to eat healthier foods. I have striven to make small changes to eat healthier. I do strive to only buy items that have nutritious values, so if it is just empty carbs with no nutritious value I tend to place the item right back on the shelf rather than dropping it into the shopping basket. I will still purchase occassional desert items, but I rationalize that I always have them with milk, so I get the nutrients that milk offers.

I know a lot about nutrition but I love to cook and I love to eat. It is not easy to slim down that way. I can understand that if you are completly ignorant about nutrition and you read about it, you "might" lose weight if you follow the advises given there.

Haha!
You might wanna try reading the 'nutrition facts' first before eating anything. If you are a person that is very conscious to weight, then you really need to take these numbers seriously :)
