Unwrapping the Gift

A teacher received a Christmas gift wrapped in just plain brown paper bag. When she accepted it, she was quite astonished and can hardly say thank you and said, "What is it?" She might have thought that it was not a Christmas gift because it was not wrapped with a Christmas wrapper. When she was about to unwrap the gift, she was curious of what was inside of it. She unwrapped it and she was surprised of how beautiful the gift is. It was the most beautiful gift she received that day. While looking at it, she was teary-eyed. Often times, one is attracted with beautiful and colorful Christmas wrappers. However, what is important is "the thought of giving" and what is inside of it. This reminds as well the true meaning of Christmas and birth of Jesus Christ. The "thought of giving" is when God gave His Son Jesus Christ for mankind to be saved. And the gift that was wrapped in a humble manger is a King who will save people from their sins. Unwrapping the gift from this ordinary plain wrapper is Someone who is precious, beautiful, and pure. A gift that was given to one with love in One's heart. Would you accept this gift? What do you think of this mylotters?

The thought of receiving an unexpected gift is an overwhelming feeling. I love gifts. No matter how beautifully or trashy wrapped, as long as someone gives a gift to me is pretty awesome. It actually depends on the person. Some people don't like gifts. Maybe I like receiving gifts because no one gives gifts to me unless it is an exchanged gift in the office. I'm the one always giving. But the feeling of looking at your relatives expressions when they see a gift is also priceless. So I like the give and receive scenario. I like your post, you're bringing back the real essence of Christmas. :)

hi unwrapping the gift a gift is a gift no matter the paper as its given with love so what is inside is what counts. The thoughts make the gift precious indeed. My hubby one Christmas made me a needle wrap which held scissors, thread, needles, all the things you need for sewing any thing even to a tape measure and it was all in pockets on this velvro like surface and it wrapped up into a neat handy parcel.I used that for many years. It was wrapped in white tissue paper but it was f rom the heart and was a very cherished gift for me..

Ohh but it happens sometimes. When we expect some least thing that turns out to be very good one. But if the gift is not wrapped in proper manner that's okay. Not a serious thing over all. The important one is she liked the gift .I can accept the gift even if it is not properly wrapped.

It a nice points of view, the figures of Jesus will be reminded that Christmas is to celebrate with simplicity in life and having humility from within. Some people might forget this real meaning of Christmas. They will be reminded when life became difficult for them.

Wow.. so nice.. this is very touching story. I am a teacher I can relate. Yes people are attracted to beautiful wrappings and bows and ribbons. I had this also one time in my life, when a student gave me something very unique.. it was her painting of me.. it was just small almost 3 x 5 artwork. The painting is not something to be sold in an auction because it was not really that amazing... but what I saw in the painting was how she saw me as a teacher... fantastic. Yes, we all accept the truth that Christ is the gift this christmas and I am in awe to have his presence in my adventures in life. thankd Edvc

No matter of wrapping in plain paper or fancy paper important is the feelings of giver. Some time no time for wrapping and give the unwrapped gift. Same if we are giving money to someone then can give in envelope or without envelope.
