I couldn't surf the internet in our boarding house...

Philippines
December 10, 2012 12:01am CST
I went straight to our boarding house awhile ago to leave my things which I took with me from our house. Then, when I tried to access internet thru wifi, the network was "unknown network." I guess our neighbor locked his wifi already and put a password. I entered the password I knew and it got activated but I still couldn't access the internet. I guess I can only myLot here at work during my free time. Oh, my. I'll be missing you guys. I hope to get in touch with you mre. Well this is life, free wifi is over. LOL.

So, we're both doomed. You can't at home, I can't at work. Which is better? Well, I only have few hours to spend at home so it's much better if i can do mylot at work. You're a bit luckier than me.

I guess my situation is better. LOL. I stay at work for 9 hours. If there's no wifi in our boarding house, I'll just probably listen to music and sleep. I'm planning to go to work earlier everyday. LOL.

Thanks for the idea but I don't know the neighbor who owns the wifi. I'm shy to ask everyone in the neighborhood if they own it. LOL. I'll just use internet at work. Anyway, I'll be busy in January til February. I'll just have enough rest now in order to be in good health for my part time job. LOL. Thanks for posting and happy mylotting.

Silver, as at my area here it is impossible to find out who owns which wifi connection. Because there are several of us are using the wifi everyday. For me, it is still much better to have our own wifi connection.

Well, maybe they had to change it for other reasons other than you being able to access it for Free. I know I would be lost without my Internet connection at home, but since I own a Tablet, I would always have to be somewhere else with Free WiFi. I hope you are able to find enough Free time to be on here still.

Yes, maybe there are other reasons. I'm busy nowadays so it's alright not to have internet connection in our boarding house. When I arrive there at 11pm, I go straight to bed and wake up at 5:30am to prepare for my morning class. I'm out from 7am to 11pm. Thanks for posting and happy myLotting. Happy New Year!

I access net using my land line telephone at home, though it is broad band, on sundays it runs slow compared to other days of the week; i know many persons who use the internet from office; in some offices this is not allowed lol.

Yes, you're right. Some boss restrict their employees when it comes to internet surfing. They don't check our phones, though. We are lucky if we have so much free time. I'm busy nowadays. Thanks for posting and happy mylotting. Sorry for the late reply.

Hi friend, sad to know that you lost the free wifi. Don't worry, just buy a new internet connection and do your online work. Don't believe Free internet for all the times. Wish you to get a good net connection soon

Angel, pity to hear that your free wifi is gone and you are unable to surf internet at your boarding house anymore. Don't you have other option to surf the internet while you are at home? As for me here, there is no free wifi available in my area here. I used my own phone line to surf the internet. Hope your boss will allow you to use the internet while at work.

Maybe the neighbor don't want you to access the internet that's why he is putting password in the wireless connection. At least you have the internet access at the office..

Actually, I don't know our neighbor. LOL. I just wish that I can access it later when I get to our boarding house. I can't have my own connection. I'm only renting and I don't know when will I leave that boarding house. LOL. I'll just content myself using our wifi at work. Anyway, I'll be busy in a few days. Thanks for posting and happy mylotting.

I don't know why he suddenly locked his wifi and used a password. I guess he doesn't want outsiders to use his wifi for free anymore. I hope he'll return it to the old settings. LOL. I'll just myLot at work then and take some rest and sleep in our boarding house. Oh, my. It's so boring. LOL. Thanks for posting and happy mylotting.

Well,"unknown network" seems not a normal error,if your neighbor set a password and you input it wrong,it seems the prompt message should be like "Wrong Password".Check out your computer, maybe it's your own problem, and maybe you can get free surfing again,lol......
