Hi Mylotters! I am diagnosed to have a Polycyctic Ovary syndrome. I have irregular menstruation. I am done taking pills and for a time I thought my menstruation is already normalized. However, after a couple of months here I am delayed again for 2 months. So I remember before that my OB doctor mentioned about metformin. So 2 weeks before I researched about what can metformin do for PCOS. After so much research I decided to try it. And now after 3 dys of taking metformin tablets 500mg once a day, my mentruation is induced. Can you share mylotters if you have a same experience like mine. I want to deepen my knowledge about the effects of metformin oon other polycystice girls who are taking metformin like me. Thanks! God bless :D

I had had a weird menstruation back in February, right after my general practitioner told me that he thought I might have PCOS, but at that point all he told me was to go home and look it up online and that we would discuss it the next time I came in. Well with the cycle I had came some strange pain and the pain continued after my cycle had stopped. So I contacted a gynecologist office that I had never been to before and set up an appointment. I ended up having to have a procedure done but found out for sure that I do have the PCOS. Last week, actually Thursday I got put on metformin I have had a side effect here and there but after a few days. I started taking it the day after I got prescribed it. I actually started my cycle like a day or two after starting to take the metformin. I also found a support group on Face book for PCOS. There are lots of supportive women in the group and they understand for the most part.
