Personally, I am not a scene person and I don’t want to put on drama most especially when I am on a crowd of people. But for some people most especially when some personnel like as that on the malls like Security Guards, or Clerks does not have a good mood while working. It can start arguments.
Such incidents may include security personnel’s that aren’t courteous when in terms of inspecting your things before going inside the premise or Clerks that sometimes delay when you pay the bills. It may be frustrating in dealing with such situations but we should always keep calm about it.
How about you myLotters, have you ever experienced such personnel’s? do you calm yourself in those situations?

What is the use of fighting over matters to these people? I don't. I don't fight for something it is not worth of my time. It is their torch, let them carry on their own. I don't like to waste energy and time.

It's not about fighting... it's about putting a positive image despite a terrible situation... Just ignoring and putting yourself in a good manner can help ease an irritating matter.

Yes, it is still the same, that is still annoying and people could have mistakenly thought that there is a need to correct something here.

well, before i used to be liked that but when my brother in law tried to work as a Security Guard and saw how hard is it to be Guard that sometime he works 36 hours straight. and they haven't given any benefits. and his salary is lower than minimum wage.and receiving incomplete payment, And assigned on different places but still the same wage. They also don't have break as you noticed Then I started to have a long patience to those security guard who in a bad mood. as i tried to understand their job.. that they are only doing their task.On clerk. well It depends on the person if she is arrogant then i would surely correct her.

Thanks for your response, it's also good to complain on their actions so that they will in the future do good service to their clients.

Actually I am not a patient person, but working in a customer service need a lot of patience when dealing with irate customers and clients.
So, we must understand those people who works in jobs like security guards, mall personnel and the likes.
They are dealing with different kind of people everyday and they get tired too.
Unless they are provoking you- that is another thing.

I agree we should put ourselves in their shoes that they are working in a big crowd and that their job is quite tiring... it's no doubt easy to deal with people you don't know... but sometimes we mus consider the fact that it's their job and that they shouldn't frown nor put negative faces while working. But regardless, we should not make a scene out of such incident.
Thanks for your response.

These are common issues in malls and in any other similar establishment. One I could not forget was an encounter with a salesgirl. At times you really cant help getting irritated but what would you profit if you fall prey to their misdemeanors? They aren't worth wasting time and energy. Maybe the person is just bored of his life and finds therapy in pulling down someone else.

In malls fortunately I never had such encounters, the guards and clerks are always courteous. What I've witnessed though is the opposite, the customers were the ones impolite and rude to the personnel. I've seen customers shouting at cashiers and customers giving salesladies a hard time complaining and fussing around.

Count to ten. Smile. Then, count to ten again. Smile, again. Then, count to ten, again... Smile. Try to put a smile on their faces by smiling at them. Be positive. There is nothing you can do about someone else having a bad day. But there is something you can do about you having a bad day. Sorry, this ain't a perfect world and neither does the world revolve around you. Smile, be happy and just let such incidents be like water off a duck's back. Smile! :)

Agree, a Smile can change a bad mood to something positive. It's also a helpful way to not lose your temper about something...
Thanks for your response.

Dear heaytheblogger! Often we face situations as explained above in the Malls in my country also. People are not really treated with the courtesy and respect as they should have which may create irritation some times in the clients.
I really get irritated with salesmen following me in the mall and the other staff who keep a watch on me as if I entered the Mall or departmental store to steal the things from there. The security guards also are rude some times while leaving the people inside the mall. They behave as if we are carrying some bomb to explode there!
Similarly while coming out also they behave without showing any courtesy or respect for the customers or the clients.
Basically I feel the reason behind this is employing the staff who are either uneducated or under educated and also because of lack of training which the staff should get. I partly hold the management responsible for such carelessness! In fact the management should train the security personnel and other staff to behave courteously with the customers and they should appoint appropriate personnel after thorough scrutiny of the personnel for the job!
Under given circumstances we can really do nothing except for keeping quite to show our decency and courtesy when such staff misbehaves with us! Thanks for the discussion I liked participating in it!

Thanks so much for your response. Indeed keeping a cool head while you are facing such people may somehow help most especially not creating a scene out of such situations.

I have encountered several incidents. While I can just ignore the behavior, sometimes, it is really irritating that I could really could not contain myself. I do not go to the extent of making a scene. But I do try to teach that personnel a lesson. I do not believe that the customer is always right , coz sometimes, customers aren't really right. But with personnel who displays disrespect to customers, I think there is no excise for that.

True, it also should be taught in their training and their right approaches towards their clients since they are working in a large crowd, they should keep in mind to keep a positive approach regardless on the tiring workloads.
Thanks for your response.
