Where I stay, beggars are a dime a dozen. Our unemployment rate is over 30%. Its actually very sad. People get so hardened. Almost very major intersection will have a few people begging by the lights.
There actually syndicates that get blind people to beg at intersections. Streetkids are common in the city centres.
The difficult part is knowing if you are giving to a genuine beggar or to just another scam artist or drunk.
I aslo wish I could just give them all a job.Although many of them don't want to work.

I feel really bad for them. I have bought them lunch already and gave it to them to help them out. I wish I was rich because I would build a place to house them for free until they got back on their feet. I would also help find them jobs, clothes etc...
