A Question Of Ethics

December 12, 2012 2:41pm CST
I am using a PTC/GPT site and I am currently browsing the paid offers. There are two offers side by side in the list. They are for similiar things. They will pay you if you sign up to a petition and support Iraqi Kurds, killed or displaced by the war. Normally I would sign something like this without thinking. However, It would be wrong to earn money by signing up.... Wouldn't it? What do you think?

I think you should stay within your ethical bounds. No amount of money is worth it to act like you are supporting something that you don't support. I've never seen any of these offers but I probably wouldn't either.

Well, not if you do happen to support the Iraqi Kurds but if you do not then perhaps it would. Of course if you have not considered the question prior to reading the site then it might not be so easy to make an imprtial decision all the best, urban

If you are doing a good cause and get paid at the same time, why not? If you really feel uncomfortable accepting the money, then you can donate it away once you get it. You are still going a good cause afterall.

I think we all have signed a petition at some point in our life. And usually it is something we believe in. I think you know what the answer is here. If you do not feel like you should support this issue then you will not sign it. But if you do feel strong about then go ahead. Is it wrong to be paid for this? Well, if its on the site then its up to you. Hey Now!!!

before embarking on any agreement, we usually think of any little details in it. it is, for me, impertinent to just sign on any contract without thinking and analyzing every detail of it.
