Expensive Treatment Fees

Recently, I just sent three of my children to wash and wax their teeth at a nearby private dentist. I saw a chart of recommended charges by the Dentist association and the bill I paid for my three children was extremely expensive. I do not think every family can afford to pay for it and luckily, all of my bills are claimable from my wife's company. I am wondering if those charges should be lowered so that, every family can get the treatment and to maintain their healthy teeth.

Yes it is very expensive. My parents were not able to give me those treatments like what you're doing with your children because it is expensive. But I'm still grateful that they constantly remind me to brush my teeth when I was still a child and my teeth are A ok. Maybe dentist fees should be lowered or government clinics should have dentists so that poor families can just go there.

At my place, there are government dentists too. But they provides limited services only. For instance, the government clinics only provide filling in and pulling teeth. Other than these two services, we need to have special appointment with long waiting period and fees too. To get fast and good service, we still prefer to pay more to send our aging persons in our families to visit the private dentists. In my impression, private dentists are deserved to those with good financial support. I do hope this trend will be changed someday.

I also realized that most of the dentists are mainly trying to earn as much as possible. They are trying to provide their professional service only to those middle range and upper range people. On the other word, only those who can afford to pay the expensive fee will be their patients. To be more commercialized, I shall name patients as customers. I am worrying this trend will persist and build an unhealthy society.
