Do you exchange new money in the bank during this season? New money bills that will give to godchildren and kids that will come in the house on Christmas day. Our messenger ask today if we are going to exchange new money bill in the bank today since he will go there to deposit. We do write the breakdown of the denomination of the bills that we wanted to exchange but sad to say that only half of our request will be granted. So what we will do is to just divided equally so everyone will still have new money bills.

I've tried exchanging old bills for new ones before. Unfortunately I don't know when the bank gets their new bills so when I went the bank teller only exchanged my bills for other old bills. I think it could be nice, especially since it doesn't cost anything. Might make shopping more fun.

Well I do hope that you already exchange your money as of the moment. People were busy exchanging their money wherein some banks dont accept that much since some of their clients did reserved some amount prior and earlier, especially those regular and bigtime clients.

I've been doing that for a long time I guess it has been a tradition in our family to have crisp new bills to give to nieces, nephews and godchildren. We actually requested early this year since my bank informed me that there were relatively many people requesting for the new bills.

Yeah sort of part of the culture and tradition that we used to do for quite long period of time which I guess nothing wrong about it as long as we don't do anything wrong and anything that might other people. As they says, its better to give than to receive and its Christmas.

Wish I could do that too, but during this season, usually exchanging new money in the bank needs reservation and it's a hassle for me to that because of so many reasons. What I do is whenever I receive new money, let's say from changes when I pay in the grocery or department store, I usually keep the new money for Christmas season so I can give it to my godchildren. If I am not able to keep enough new bills, I just buy them a gift instead, better that way, hahaha. :-)

I think what important is that we give them something that comes from our heart no matter what it is.We used to reserve earlier in the bank where our company is a loyal client so our manager used to take care about it.Just get the amount that we wanted to exchange then will could the bank for reservation.

Oh, so you're very much prepared for the holidays. Personally, I don't a time for this thing as of now. Yes, before I used to exchange bills for the same purpose. But our office mate whose wife is working in a bank already transferred to another office after he passed the BAR examination. Before, we just gave him the money and we have it the next day. Well, anyway, hopefully I could attend to this thing next week. Have a nice day!

Well quite preparing since it is the time celebrate, happy and enjoy so preparing things before it will be a lot of help.Good thing that I exchange even just one bundle of 20s which is quit enough for my godchildren and some kids that might go in the house on Christmas day.

It seems to be a custom here, too. Here we tend to give the brand new banknotes as gifts to the children as the Chinese New Year gift. However, most of us will not exchange the new banknotes from the banks. As the service is not so good in the bank unless you are a VIP. So usually we will ask the friends who work in the bank to help to exchange new banknotes.

Same here.Thing that we used to do this season. Since our company do have some account in different banks, our accounting manager could request and reserved some amount that we could exchange.

What kind of habit is that? I never heard of it so my answer is no. Also I do not see the need to give money to children at all. What will they do with that? This besides of the fact tha most banks will have a hard time to give money and we have hardly banks in my country anymore. If you want to have money to have to go to an ATM. If the machine is empty it's a pity for you. And if it comes to nuew (banknotes I assume) you can't ask for it you have to see what it spits out or what people give you in change in the shop. And if it comes to your question: money is money! A child who is only happy with brand new money is spoiled to my opinion.

Its part of the tradition and culture here.Banks here also allow people to exchange their money into new one.People here give gifts or money during Christmas since kids do save it,use it in buying things for school and even things they wanted to buy.
