My second oldest daughter loves chocolate, she loves chocolate ice cream, chocolate pie, chocolate cake, she just loves chocolate. I'm really not that much into chocolate unless it's a chocolate pie or a candy bar. Now, for Christmas I am not planning on having a big dinner. The older kids will all be with their fathers family for Christmas Eve and Christmas day, so I'm sure they will have plenty of food to eat. They will come over here to Mom's house later in the afternoon on Christmas day, and I plan on serving finger foods, crackers, grapes and maybe some cheese (I don't like to have to much dairy foods around because of the whole protein issue). I also thought about making a pie, a chocolate pie for a little dessert. I'm going to make a healthier version of chocolate pie, and I'm making it with avocados. Yep, that's what I'm doing. I'm making a chocolate avocado pie for Christmas dessert. It's delicious. What do you think about using avocados as the filler for a chocolate pie?

Ohhhh, it is delicious. I made it for my 12 and 11 year old and they couldn't tell the difference. I'd rather eat my pie from an avocado than from a mix I buy in the store. Thanks for responding to this discussion Amy

Thanks a ton for sharing this discussion. Well i am glad to know about your Christmas preparations and i am sure your oldest daughter will get excited after seeing a chocolate pie made by u. I think your decision of trying out something healthy and nutritious for the family on the eve of Christmas is a very good decision and i think u can add avocados as a filter as it will be the best for a chocolate pie. Wishing u a happy Christmas in advance! What say?

Hi! Yes, the kids won't even know I'm trying to get them to eat something very good for them. I'll be using dark cocoa, which is full of antioxidants and other vitamins which is great. Thanks for responding to this discussion
