Our teachers told us that in many westren countries,students often learning indepartment and have group learning.After group learning,they raise some questions to the teacher and the teacher would leading them to deal with those questions.So,is it the trueth?

Oh as I saw you are from China.
In Europe and America students are working together in groups of 20-30. These groups are the classes. Teachers of different subjects visit these groups and keeps lessons. We are free to ask the teachers anytime.

The elite schools or the quality schools everywhere follow the information technology. You do not see students carrying loaded heavy bags to school. The children have the filing system. They have project method and assignment system. The report in the assignment that you submit is a teamwork, a report of the research done through consultation, refference and group discussion. Such a method makes the students participate actively. Here the rote memory doesn't work. But research work.
