I failed a subject

I gave it all I got but unfortunately I wasn't able to reach the cutoff! I lacked 5% and the passing was 65%. I only got 60%. I don't regret anything I've done, earlier this morning I took the final exam and I was sick as a dog but I pushed through. I took the exam from 7:30 to 10am. Since my next subject was 3pm I went home to rest and after I slept I felt a little better. But somehow I feel down right now I mean of any days that I can get sick, it's the day of the final exam that I got very ill. That's something bothering me today...

That really sucks man. It seems that kind of thing happens quite a bit with people for some reason. Sick on the exam days. Also sucks that you failed by five percent.

I have experience that I was also failed during my exam. I think you need to be good health before you take an exam. Do not be worry there be a final grade for you and pray that you will pass.

It is really disappointing to know that you have given your best but it was not enough. in my college days i also experience failing on my thesis, i gave my all with it, there are days that i can have a complete sleep, and i gave all my efforts there but still i failed, hence i tried the next semester to take it again. and fortunately the second time i already passed. i hope that you will not lose hope and just keep trying.

Hi! There's nothing to feel sad about. You tried your best even though you were terribly ill. I find no reason for you to regret as well. SO you are on the right track. Just do your best the next time and wish you good luck!

Hi BigMoney25! Your failure to meet the passing score during your today's final exam doesn't mean that you're not good. It is just a coincidental events that you have an illness during the day of your examination. Well, for me, that's alright at least you give a better try and do all your best to answer all the questions provided in the examination. I just had hoped that your professor could give you another chance to take up remedial exam. Don't take this occurrence as a sign of discouragement rather keep this as your winning tool towards attaining your goal in life. Give too much time ponder your shortcomings why you failed and focus your attention to your study. Furthermore, you must learn how to accept failures for you to see the greatness of winning in your second try. Good luck!

You may have failed the subject but you tried your best under uncomfortable and difficult circumstances so you should be proud of yourself, I am sure others in your situation wouldn't have sat the exam in the first place. I hope you get better soon.

I'm sorry to hear that. I can recall my student days, and those exam times - how stressful some of them could be, with deadlines on papers/projects, not to mention exam prep time. I don't know your school's policy, but if you're sick, you shouldn't be taking any test, but be excused. Perhaps you could ask to re-take it. If that isn't allowed, forget about it, but should it happen again, remember to let your teacher or proctor know you're ill before writing the exam.

Hi friend, sad to hear about this, as you mentioned you are not well at the final exam, so you missed the good marks, don't worry apply for this exam again and write it well to increase your marks. Be positive to achieve your dreams

A lot of people become sick during exams and most of it is because of stress. Your body's immune system becomes weaker when you are sleeping less, under stress, and not as concerned with your health... all common occurences during exam time. Maybe talk to the professor and let him know what was up and offer to do anything possible to gain a few extra points, some professors are very understanding and will give second chances. Ultimately there's not much you can do about what happened in the past with the test, it's in the hands of the professor now, all you can do is try and move forward and change things in the future.

Some people tell me that checking your health is a part of your exam. but unfortunately i have a weak immune system and i am prone to common colds and sometimes pneumonia so i know how you feel. Don't feel down that you did not pass because you did your best even though you were sick that's something you should be proud of. good luck in your other subjects. study well. :)
