One of the other estate sales we went to today had this poor little kitty in a crate type of medium sized cage and she was meowing the whole time and wanting to get out. I felt so bad for her but I guess this was the only option for the owner of the estate as she had one other little dog and another bigger dog upstairs. The time we were there she kept holding and coddling the little dog more and more and almost ignoring the cat. I was almost about to tell her to pay attention to the cat too, that cat must have had a helluva day meowing all day in that cage.
I hope she gives it extra love and attention tonight after the sale is over.

poor thing.. I hate to see any animal in a cage. Would have been better locked up in a room or bathroom. Have a great weekend there.

Yes the bathroom was right behind the dog and her where she was standing alot of the time we were there. I guess it was reserved for them. I do hope the cat got some extra treats or some attention after the day was over. That poor cat was shaking and meowing i distress. Never seen that kind of thing at an estate sale before, the animals are usually pretty much relaxed but maybe the cat was ill, too. I don't know why the lady was moving out of there but it was a moving sale, she was fairly elderly.

Cats are very vocal when they are frightened and cannot do the natural thing and run. This little cat was safer contained in the crate and no doubt the owner made better provisions for her once you had gone and the door was safely closed.
Cats need several weeks of confinement when they are moved away from their familiar surroundings. There are tales of cats travelling quite a distance to return home again. This lady has both a cat and dogs so she must be an animal lover and would know that she was doing the best for her cat, even though it was not appreciated!
The little dog may have been her real concern, perhaps he bites when he is frightened and that is why she was trying to keep him calm.
