Hi all :)
Today i was listening to my favorite music "Numb" by Linkin Park and i was doing my normal daily chores. I did not even realize i was actually humming to this song and singing it along. It was when the song ended that i realized i was doing such thing and so loud..lol..
It made me feel so shy in front of others..
Does it happen to you? How do you react in such situations and i would like to know which is your one-time favorite song..
Please share your thoughts.

Hi nitin nair.
Well humming is not something you would call it then. And yes, I do sing along loudly when my favorite songs are played. I do it to all entrance themes of wwe wrestlers like CM Punk, Edge, Chris Benoit and RAW theme. Also I love the song numb by linkin park. It is almost impossible to keep quiet while the song is being played. Anyways have a nice day ...

Cool..i used to watch WWE during school times. And yes they have thoughtfully selected all their music i.e. entrance themes of all players. Sometimes we do such stuff unknowingly when we hear our favorite music..

Yeah very true. There's still craze about wwe in school children as collectors cards are free items in school related stuffs. My favorites were Rock, Triple H, Undertaker, Rob Van Dan, etc. Even Mysterio was really mysterious.LOL.
I used to play with my cousin brother on my desktop, WWE Raw game. We used to play tag matches..haha

Hehe.. I think everyone at some point of time has watched wwe throughout the world. And I am pretty sure that they have also imagined themselves walking down the aisle of wwe in their favorite wrestler's entrance theme. So who was your favorite in wwe ??

I do it sometimes. In school, I used to sing my favorite songs without even caring about others. I really do not mind it. Sometimes my friends are pissed off with me but I really do not mind it. Haha. I am happy with what I do and it really didn't matter. They just have to play along with me. I think, they had used to it already. By the way, my voice is not so good. Haha.

A wise man says "Everyone is a good singer for himself". The saying doesn't go "Everyone is a good singer for others". I forget the wise man's name though.

Well I don't have an all time favorite song--but I do hum and sing along with music, both at home and when I go shopping once a month. Most of the time I don't even notice it anymore, but I am so busy trying not to have a panic attack anyway that it doesn't seem important. Just now I was singing along with Frank Sinatra, when I saw this discussion
. I like Linkin Park as well, by the way.

Thanks chrystalia
I do not actually notice myself humming until someone stares at me or looks at me in a weird way as if i have damaged their ear drums..

Since I live in a very small town in a very rural area, most of the people around here know how agoraphobic I am--and in a way the humming distracts me enough so I can do my monthly grocery shopping and make it home. Also, the people around here are polite enough not to stare or anything--except little kids, of course

Well, that's how it is. People differ from places to places and so you are lucky they do not stare you. LOL.

I also have a bad habit of singing along when I am listening to music. It is okay to song along if you are doing some other work but if you are just listening to music then one should not sing along.
Sometimes I love when other people sing along when I am playing the songs in my cellphone, but sometimes I hate it. If my girl friend do it then I would love it.

Yeah if someone unknown start doing that then it might irritate me also. If someone known do that then it is not problem.
@Isj
I never said that I sing and the people around me love it. It is about the song which is played in a music playing devise.

Yeah we love it when someone we know good do it and at the same time if it was a stranger, we would get irritated and might even ask them to stop singing along

If you sing along when a music is playing and people around you like it, that could mean that you might be qualified to pursue a singing career.

Hi friend, good to hear about your favorite song, it is quite common to most of us to hum our favorite song, while we are in happy mood. Some times we forget about our situation and start to sing the song due to our over happiness, after realizing the real world, we feel shy in this sort. I also experienced this kind of incidents in my life

I listen to music a lot as stress relief. My favorite song always changes, which means I probably have changed my favorite song while writing this post. Anyway, humming music happens to me at any place. Whether it's at home or at the shopping mall, I don't feel embarrassed about humming songs. I usually hum at a low volume, which should not attract people to notice me. Basically, I do it so often I am not too concerned what people think about me.

Great! Music surely relieves our stress and if add a bit of imagination while listening to them, it takes us to a whole new world. How do you control your voice while humming when you listen songs through headset? I mean, we are hardly able to listen our humming when we are indulged in that song :D

That has definately happend to me many times before,,,I find
myself humming a certain song just because I heard it and just
can't get it out of my mind...I don't worry about others because
I try to maintain a quiet hum to myself...But sometimes I just
can't get it out of my head....

I have lots of girl friends nitinnair89. I refer to my friends who are female as girl friends. That is when I want to be specific, otherwise I just use the word friends :)

Hi @nitinair! Nice know you are here also. It is not shameful to do so. It makes you happy and if you could hum so well, why bother? at times I am like that too, but I talk loudly to myself, making me think what our neighbor would say about me!
