I've used a couple of words in responses that mylot wouldn't let me use since I guess they also have a derrogatory meanings. I just responded to someone who has a cat called a Main coooooon (I don't know how they let her use it). So I had to spell it differently. I also tried to use the nickname for Richard starting with Di and was told I had to change the word. I have a difficult time even remembering words and then I have to find a substitute for it? Has this ever happened to you? They should have a list of words you can't use so you will know what is legal and what isn't.

MyLot has a word filter which is relevant sometimes and other times it is not. However as it is a computer programme and can't think straight, it won't accept some words whatever the context. Yes, it has happened to me too but I can live with it

Just dropping by to wish you a wonderful Christmas dear friend. I always use a number to replace one of the letters then it accepts the word.

Yes, I saw it is still as it was and that you added another comment. I have it ion a tab and it refreshes daily when I log in. I am starting to think that there are way too many things that need fixing here

I did run into that problem earlier on, but I now know to avoid certain words. The program simply is not going to understand that something is meant in one context rather than in another. Mainecoon cats are adorable, though, aren't they? Just never name one D!ck. You'll always be left having to use an exclamation point or such in order to talk about him, lest you confuse the poor program.

This can be annoying, you post your response, then it tells you that a word is not acceptable, it comes up in red writing if I remember rightly, the way I get round this is replacing one of the letters with a number for example. D1ck, that way, it should work! Sometimes you can't find an alternative to a word because it's alternative is also disallowed. Just replace one of the letters with a number people will know what you mean.

Hi! I never encountered this so far, but I do had some posts that were deleted because they were under discussions that got deleted too. If that's the case then I think myLot should really provide a list of words that are not allowed, but I think this is not gonna happen, some of the rules here are generalized so it is really up to us to think if the words we're gonna use or the topics we're gonna post will violate any of the rules.

I have a suggestion... Don't use words that are used in American English as swear words Use real and proper English words - I find that English vernacular gets through - And there is nothing the Tossers can do about it
