Once during our training as retreat guides/spiritual directors our Formator/Spiritual Director took us on a guided contemplation of Heaven and Hell. journeying to heaven the feeling of bliss prevailed. then our guide pulled us out of this blissfulness and pointed us towards hell. during guided contemplations each participants have different visions each uniquely his own. one participant almost saw the face of "Satan" while others just felt his presence. but i felt the drastic change in the temperature. while journeying towards heaven the air was cool and very pleasant but approaching hell there was an unbearable heat and i felt my soul's reluctance to take more steps forward towards the source of the heat. then i heard the voice of our guide bringing us back to where to where we really were ... back to our lecture room. it was an unforgettable experience for me and for all of us who joined. my vision of hell will always stay with me till i die. My friends how would you describe hell?

In my understanding about hell where the bible say. This is an everlasting lake of fire where anyone who are not save on judgement day. Even satan will be cast into that lake of fire together with people who are commit sin and not belong to his flock as the bible say.

The bible is much clear to understand what is hell than contemplation because no one will see hell in real. Hell will be on the judgment day to appear. May I ask, if you prefer for that and truly sure about salvation?

hello aerous! you have a very clear definition of what hell is like according to the HOLY BIBLE. the lake of fire was most probably the intense heat that i experienced during our guided contemplation. thank you very much aerous for your comment. its an affirmation of what i experienced during the contemplation.

It's my pleasure, mammots :) I would like to know about the spiritual masters of yours. Are they specialised persons only for this or anybody who has some other occupation just like us can also guide contemplation?

our spiritual directors are Jesuit priests who are very well trained in guided contemplations and in the Spiritual exercises of St Ignatius Loyola. it takes a lot of training to be able to give guided contemplations. not anybody can just do it. it requires years of training. as prayer guides/retreat guides/spiritual directors we also underwent years of training under our Jesuit professors and Lay mentors.

Why would anyone want to find out about hell in the here after. It is bad enough living sometimes with worries about money, paying the bills, the kids ect.Lighten up and enjoy the here and now.I don't beleave in supernatural or dabbling in it. It brings on mass hysteria and can make you ill.leave it alone if I were you.

hi suzzy3! you are right in asking why on earth would anyone want to go through the experience of heaven and earth when the reality of our everyday concerns and problems stare at us bluntly at the face. the purpose of that exercise was to allow us to notice movements of our soul like mine was hesitant to take another step towards the source of the intense heat. it would be a great topic of conversation with GOD if we bring our own personal experience of heaven and hell and talk about it openly with HIM. thank you suzzy3 for making this "full of concern" response. i appreciate it very much!

would not characterize it I'm for you, but the Creator describe it : He says in the Quran [56.42:43] (they shall live) amid burning winds and boiling water, in the shadow of a smoking blaze, " [74.26:30] I will surely roast him in the Scorching. What will let you know what the Scorching is like! It neither spares, nor releases, and it burns the flesh. " Over it are nineteen (angels guarding). " [104.4] On the contrary! He shall be flung to the Crusher. What shall let you know what the Crusher is? (It is) the kindled Fire of Allah, " [66.6] Believers, guard yourselves and your families against the Fire the fuel of which is people and stones, over which there are harsh, and stern angels who never disobey Allah in that which He orders and do what they are ordered. " [15.44] It has seven gates, and through each gate a portion of them belong. " Water What is more wishes of the people of Hell ? Drink of water [7.50] The companions of the Fire will call out to the companions of Paradise: 'Pour upon us some water, or some of that which Allah has provided you. 'But they shall reply:' Allah has forbidden both to the unbelievers, " Seek refuge with Allah from the fire and its heat and its cold . Oh God conclude to us with standardization and make us of the people of Tawheed

Hi friend, good to hear about your experience, so you enjoyed both heaven and hell in your life time. Really your team is lucky enough to have this different experience. Hell is the place for sinners to get punishment, in hell we will get various punishments based on our faults and mistakes.
