Is it time for Duncan Fletcher to go?

Duncan Fletcher took over the Indian team after their World Cup success. Since then the team has been headed in one direction, down!! They have lost test series on the trot with whitewashes in England and Australia. All this while people kept saying that once we come back home things will turn around!! But England proved that even this suggestion was incorrect. All the pressure is being heaped on the captain and the team. The question is what about the accountability of the manager? Should he not be sacked for his consistent failure? Cheers! Ram

Ya Fletcher should go because he is not the man which lifts the morale of Indian team.I think he got enough chances to prove himself as a coach but he fails miserably.Somebody bring back the Gary Kirsten

Yes, I am seeing the same defeatist mentality that we used to have in the late 80s before Ganguly took over the reins. Something's gotta give now. Cheers! Ram

Yeah its the way they get defeated which disturbs me.The whitewashes against England and Australia shows that they dont even competed or you can say completely surrendered. Surprisingly BCCI didnt take any action then due to which we lost another series and this time in front of home crowd much embarassing. BCCI should wake up now.

In my opinion Fletcher didn't do anything for team India. Well at the same time I have to mention that definitely team India have developed good football skills but not the cricket skills. In my opinion Fletcher is a failure as far the present Indian team is concerned. It's time for BCCI to look for another coach who can react well and at the same time good for team India also like John wright and Gary Kierston did.

Looks like BCCI has a rotation policy that after every good manager they would have a bad manager. First after Wright, it was Chappel and now after Kirstein it is Fletcher. Looking at India and England managers, looks like we got the wrong Zimbabwean for the job!! Cheers! Ram

Under Duncan Fletcher, Indian team has not done particularly good. I am not sure, how he goes on with the players, and blaming him for all the ills is not good. Still, he cannot be absolved of everything and should share responsibility for the team's failures. Maybe, he can be given one more chance. And then, we can have a new coach- and why not an Indian at task? How about Anil Kumble?

I would actually love to see an Indian at the helm. More than Kumble though my pick would be Saurav Ganguly. The players of this generation have grown up idolizing him and he would be an ideal pick for the job with his cricketing brain and know-how. Cheers! Ram

I favor Kumble because he would not hog the limelight and just focus on getting the best from the players, and he also enjoys a good rapport with players like Gambhir who have played with him earlier.
