i hope we will be given a bonus

Bonus or cash gift is not mandatory for a company to give to their employees unlike the 13th month pay here in the Philippines. However, some of our affiliates are gaining in their fields of businesss, so they always have that , aside from the 13th month pay. I used to be with the other affiliates so I also receive it.
But for the past 2 years , we weren’t given a bonus by the company I was transferred to. It is my boss who gives me from her own money ( she receives lots of bonus, because she handles many affiliates, that's why) . 
However, I am still hoping that we will be given a bonus, because I heard there will be.

i'm happy that your boss shares her blessings with you. i would do that, too, because even if those perks are given to me personally, i wouldn't have earned them without the help of my team. being the boss, i may be the planner and decision-maker, but i need good people to implement them and ensure its success. i'm glad there are still fair-minded bosses like yours who finds a way to show appreciation and share the credit.

Actually, i am so lucky to have a boss like my boss. She is kind , generous and considerate .

Well, we cannot expect to be given that, sishy if we know that it's a non-profit type of organization. Maybe a token out of the graciousness of the bosses can just be given instead.

It will be good if your employer will give you bonuses but you just have to know the reason why your employer is hesitant in giving bonus. Your organization may be suffering financial losses that they still have to check if they really can give bonuses. In my perception, employers give bonuses depending on their standards in giving such. Giving bonus is a trend anyway. I also wish that your employer will give bonus so that you will be more motivated to do your responsibilities.

It was frustrating because we were given a bonus after Christmas. 
It wasn't a big amount, but we appreciate it much because our company isn't gaining that much yet, because there are a lot of affiliates who don't pay their dues as it falls due. 
At any rate, i am so thankful for it to the company .

Yes, i will spend it on necessary things. However, usually our bonus is not that big. Just enough for us to buy things we want. But it is really appreciated by the employees.

Your boss is so nice and appreciative to reward you
with extra money from her own pocket. That's great!
I don't think my new company will give any 13th month
salary nor bonus. However i do hope she will give us
some kind of rewards for us to celebrate the new year.

Actually my friend, it was my boss who requested it from the owner of the company. It was said that he already agreed to give it, but still my boss is waiting for the email so it could be documented.
I hope you too will be given rewards for the new year!
