Coffee doesn't help after alcohol

At first, I didn't believe this. But then when I saw it in some researches, it convinced me. Drinking coffee after drinking alcohol will not help you in waking up.Instead, it will blur your perception of how much you are actually under the influence of alcohol. Basing from what I read, says caffeine doesn't affect the level of alcohol in the blood. In reality, drunk people who drink coffee will conclude that they are not drunk so they do some things that can be risky to themselves.

The best way to get rid hang over, according to my dad is to boil lemon grass (tanglad) and then place a whole egg and poach it. That is what he takes after drinking. I think it works. I joined him once and loved the taste of it!

Hello, my virtual son! You should try it. It really tastes good! Just don't forget to add a dash of salt, though.

Sounds like you are doing test on yourself to prove if the theory is right or not, though the result is not satisfied ,but i hope you are ok. I persist in that moderate drinking is good, drunk is bad.I appreciate you share us the truth coffee is not able to wake up our brain,it's useful.

That's interesting information. The first thing that I have heard people say to "sober up" is to drink coffee. That can be very dangerous if someone goes to drive thinking they are sober after the coffee.

Yes, this a common false notion by drinkers. They are thinking of 'sobering up' but they are unknowingly hurting themselves more. These drunkards should know this thing.

I've always been warned about drinking coffee after getting drunk. I never asked why I shouldn't because I'm no coffee drinker. They also said it's better to drink cold water than warm water to rid of drunkenness.

I do drink, occasionally. But when I was a university student, I drink every Tuesdays and Fridays! I only experienced hangover once, when I drank a liter of Jose Cuervo Gold with three other friends.

Haha Since you drink occasionally, then the problem comes when there is an occasion everyday! Haha Why drink during Tuesdays? The week is still on it's second day. Just wondering.

I did not know this. I always thought caffeine helped because it wakes you up but it makes sense that it blurs your perception of your intoxication levels.

Hi Jennlee! Thank you for visiting here. It is a common wrong notion of most drunkards that coffee will help. This wrong knowledge will actually damage the body.

I was talking to my husband about this the other day and he verified that it isjust a myth. I've never gotten drunk enough to need help waking up, so I would not know. He hasn't really gotten that way either, but knows people who have, and coffee did exactly what you mentioned it would do.

I had never heard of that but I guess it makes sense. People will get the perk from the caffeine in the coffee but still be intoxicated and feel ok to do things like drive a car. I dont drink at all if I know I had to drive or do anything. When I've had to much to drink I dont think anything would make me sober up except hours going by with it wearing off and out of my system.

Best solution: Just don't drunk (Look who's talking ) Well, the best is always not to drink too much but if you're going on a drinking spree: drink lots of water in between as well.

Haha Yeah the best way is to really not drink at all because it has a lot of bad effects in the body. I used to drink before, almost everyday, and it did nearly destroy me. Thanks God I was able to get over it. I drink but occasionally and very moderate.
