I started smoking in my college days. My friends were the main reason who encouraged me to smoke. I felt vey proud while smoking and i felt that i am a grown up now. I really got addicted to a cigratte and smoke almost one packet a day. One day i was smoking when somebody saw me near my house and told it to my parents. When i reached home every one started staring at me as i have commited a Crime. When they asked me i really felt ashamed and then they took from me a prommise that i will never smoke again. I still dont know that who was the person who saw me smoking and told it to my parents but i think it was better for me. I have quit smoking now.

I believe you smoked like the other young people at first, most of the young people think that it's cool to smoke, so they learn to smoke like adults. It's lucky that you give up smoking now, as it's really bad for your health, so you should thank your neighbour.

It's very difficult to quit smoking. I've been there already but thanks God I was able to get over with it. You need a real courage if you really would want to quit, it is yourself and not other people who will you. Peers and the environment are the main reason why people, especially young people, start to smoke. So if you do not want to put your life into a mess, then better don't mess with people who are already messed up!
